Buuuutt I read on here he’s not an experienced college coach and won’t be good enough for LSU.Another bad hire by BK.People on these boards are Fn ignorant to think they know more than the winningest coach in college football today.

Everyone has money now. It’s the name of the game. He’s separating himself for sure.

Man, that video is awesome. I wish he was my neighbor...
KW at his size, playing that long in the NFL at Dline...it's amazing.

Unlike most defensive tackles, Kyle Williams is a good athlete. Williams is an outstanding golfer who is good enough to play in some USGA events.

To be fair, it was a big unknown since he had never coached in college before. We see it all the time that guys hate recruiting.
Kyle is doing a fantastic job. Looking forward to seeing his coaching too.

I like Kyle Williams.. I'm from the same area he's from played vs Ruston when he was a freshman.. but this was alot of people bringing in these kids.. Frank played a huge role in Geralds cause of his father being recruited by Frank.. Lamar was recruited heavily by the edge coach mainly.. these are words coming from the recruits in interviews.. Kyle being a guy that wants disruptive DTs help and not guy 2 gaping and holding OL up for LBs helps too

How about his pedigree as a 6x pro bowler, and known for getting the most from himself and his players?!

A few years back, I got invited to a luncheon, the key speaker, Kyle Williams. The place was packed, once Kyle started to talk, all ages, everyone was quiet. Kyle just started talking, captured the audience. Very personal, I got to talk with him a little afterwards. The guy loves LSU, kids will catch his passion and drive. I don’t see recruiting as a problem. Much of the same with coaching.
Kyle stayed with the Bills for his entire career. He’s been through a number of Head Coaches, Position Coaches and Defensive Coordinators. Has played in a 3-4 and a 4-3, played the Nose, DT and DE. There’s not a position on the line, he doesn’t know. He spent two years under Pete Jenkins, while at LSU.
Kyle coached Ahmad Breaux at Ruston. Breaux was around 6’3” 250lbs. arriving at LSU. His first season, a True Freshman going against the best players in College football. Kyle had him ready to play college football.

Admire a guy who really does not have to work but brings it every day!

You're getting downvoted but it's the truth. Money first having a good DL coach is just complimentary. I like the optimism on Kyle but let's not pretend Bo was anything but a big loss. He worked magic on a patched interior last year.
Do I think Kyle can be big here? Absolutely. Bo was setup fine to keep elite recruiting here. You don't need relationships like you did in the past to recruit elite. You need a bag over anything else. Bo likely got tired of this because I see him as someone he probably valued the relationship side of the NCAA that's slowly evaporating. He probably figured if they think I'm professional I'll just go coach professionals.

Texas fans will actually tell you otherwise. Bo is an excellent developer but recruiter in this era he was not great at racking up blue chippers. NIL is nil but relationships absolutely still matter . Deuce Gerald’s straight up said Kyle Williams was a big part of why he committed here . I don’t think we land deuce under bo as he is an undersized penetration type DC that isn’t Bo’s usual type at DT

Recruits say a lot of things and they lie as well. It's money first and development second. Relationships matter but not like you think it does and certainly not like it was 10 years ago.

A good friend of mine in the coaching profession and I were talking about kids and the truth. He’s coached at 4 SEC schools, and has signed a number of players, that most folks know their names. He said, you find out quickly who’s telling the truth, if not, you won’t be in this business long.
I remember him telling the story of a La player, that he had to go through a preacher, just to talk with the kid.
Funny thing about coaches, it’s a tight Fraternity. One day you’re competing for a player, a month later, you’re on a staff with that coach.

So anyone could be named the defensive line coach and it would result in us having the same defensive line recruits)

Yes if you're paying money
This is all business. The relationship can help, obviously, but it's money first. Do you think anyone in the NFL will put a relationship before money? They're professionals with the way it's setup now. Money first. Relationships are complimentary.

Ok then so let’s hire a local lunch lady to do the recruiting side of things and let Kyle focus on coaching the players already there. Sounds good?

Give me some baws that play like Chad Lavalais against Auburn and Cadillac Williams.
