Clemson's recruiting is off the charts. They're picking up right where they left off in 2020.
Their 2021 class has 9 commitments with 7 of them in the top 150.
And once they commit to Clemson, they don't de-commit.
It's ridiculous what they're doing.
Edit - Their 2020 class had a historic DL haul with Bresee (.9998), Murphy (.9978), Capehart (.9856), and Williams (.9592). For 2021 they've already got Denhoff (.9589) and now Foreman (.9996).
No real flaws with their recruiting. 5* QBs, 5* RBs, 5* linemen, 5* WRs, etc. Doesn't matter. And like I said, these kids don't de-commit from Dabo once they're on board.
And LSU against that level of recruiting success just embarrassed that team 2 short weeks ago.

Funny you should mention that. Caleb Williams was at Clemson this past weekend.
His dad said in an interview the reason they've waited is to see which coaches stick around, and that stability is important to them.

Not quite. Clemson's recruiting rankings since 2016 -
2016: 11th (LSU was 2nd)
2017: 16th (LSU was 7th)
2018: 7th (LSU was 15th)
2019: 10th (LSU was 5th)
Their insane recruiting started with the 2020 class and it seems it's continuing with 2021.

They do not go through as much attrition as Bama undergoes and we had this year. Their coaches have been there for some time, therefore, recruits do not end up interacting with new faces after every season.
Here is an example- Venables has been there since 2012 (8 freaking years) and Elliott has been there since 2011 ( 9 freaking years). While Elliott took the baton this year, Jeff Scott had been there since 2008 (12 freaking years). Now, given all of that, in combination with their cupcake schedule, who would not want to play for a team that is going to be in CFP each year at the very least.
Also, Dabo is a great coach and so until FSU becomes reasonably relevant in the ACC, I do not see any reason for Clemson to not make it to the championship game every year.

That’s due to numbers. Clemson does a heck of a job of bringing back upperclassman. Therefore, they have smaller recruiting classes.

I don’t think that’s accurate based on player average.

Yeah, I overlooked returning players resulting in smaller classes.
Their class averages have been ridiculous for the past 3 years.

Whatever Clemson is doing is unprecedented

Well Lsu will be playing against all of Clemson’s 2021 players starting in 2023 with the home and home series.
Just wish Lsu got a little bit more respect after winning a national championship

Add in playing in the ACC with no legit challengers to keep them from going to the play offs every year.
I mean who is the next best team? Virginia?

LSU just needs to prove we aren’t a one-hit wonder
Then we better learn how to recruit QBs. Landing big time QBs is still something we just can't seem to do.
Apparently we've been losing ground with Caleb Williams.

We did just smash them but I wouldn't apply that to future holdings. Their recruiting the past 3 years is really when their game rose to another level. We didn't get the brunt of that level of talent. They were a year ahead of schedule. They were better last year and will be better than that next year and so on. The fruits of the 19,20 and 21 classes will be seen 2,3,4,5 years from now. If they're development trend continues they are gonna be special good

Maybe Clemson recruits like playing against weak opponents, it builds up their stats.
I never saw Trevor Lawrence smile once. He appeared the most miserable player of the season. He appeared as if he was in shock after the game.

Bringing back upperclassmen is something both Alabama and Clemson do unimaginably well... (Almost Cult like)
Probably has to do with pen to paper...homes, money, cars become due in full if they do not fulfill their senior season...

I wonder how Clemson compares to us in terms of putting kids in the NFL. The soft schedule helps the highlight reel footage but I would think NFL scouts would be wise enough to see through that.

If not LSU I’m ok with Clemson
Geaux Tigers

And with Clemson's policy that means he won't be taking any more visits. He's done.
we will see how this policy really works this time. What is Dabo going to do if the #1 recruit decides he wants to take more visits. Its a long way to 2021 signing day.

Yet they got destroyed by “flash in the pan” LSU
