As much of a hitter as Young is, what impresses me just as much is the way he quarterbacks the defense. He definitely has a high football IQ
Would love to see him as aTiger in the fall.

After watching LSU LBer play last fall, Young is a must take in this class imo. LSU just had no LBer play last year and it was obvious.

Is there a chance that Kenny Young will make his verbal commitment at the US Army All Star Game on Jan. 4-- or has he given any indication about a timetable for when he will reveal his college choice?

I'm not 100% sure but I believe he's a NSD decision

John Curtis kids dont take official vists during their season. He and Dupre both want to take OVs so they will both likely decide on NSD. Dupre will be on ESPN, maybe Young will decide with him on TV, not sure.

Also Harron is going to play DT....... I've heard he's a monster now, blew the effe up but in a good way. Think Brockers but quicker and hopefully just as good with technic. I think he's going to be a freakn bad arse DT!!!!!!
What did you hear and from where? Thanks. I hope its true, just trying to validate it.

It has really been disappointing that the 2012 class, that brought in a group regarded as a very solid linebacker corps, has not performed better, outside of Kwon Alexander and Debo Jones.
It is sad that a group of several pretty highly regarded players have not really contributed very much to the Tigers. Much more was certainly expected from this group that what we've seen so far.
Therefore, a recruit like Kenny Young becomes even more important to go along with Garrett and Alexander for this year's class.

The linebacker play was not stellar, but it was not the disaster that many argue - even Welter. But Welter and Barrow were disappointing.
Kwon was a bright spot in the linebacking corps - I expect him to provide key leadership next year.

My apologies to Kwon Alexander. He was the lone bright spot in that area. Sad to see that some of the recruits from a couple of years ago are not there.

Why aren't they afforded the opportunity to get better with another year under their belt? How are these three coming in going to jump them if they couldn't jump Welter? I think last years crop will be outstanding for us in the next two or three years, but some people aren't even giving them a chance. Its not an easy position to come in and dominate at.

LB in the SEC is tough to come in and play well so young. I think a lot of these guys their JR and SR years will do well.
Kwan, Louis, and Debo all are true SOPH.....Beckwith a Frosh with a huge upside. Garret is supposed to be real deal, but it will take time to get used to the speed and strength of college football.
I've been watching film on Young for years and he's as technically ready of a LB as I have seen in years. Being in JC's weight program you know he's moving some weight around too.
