Tolliver only played well at times because LaFell got all the attention
First of all, I'm pretty sure you mean Toliver and secondly, that's a bit of a stretch

Picking up Ambles and Boone would help out big-time with this class. I would be very happy with Ambles, Boone, and Wright to finish this out. If the only real problem with Ambles is he hit a teacher and has "attitude" problems, I'm fine with that. Maybe add in Fobbs and give him a chance to play WR and move him to CB if it doesn't work

yah, i'm melting down now, but the WR can be relatively salvaged...
picking up boone, wright, fobbs would be a nice coup with Ambles being a pipedream, but a nice one at that.

Lol Toliver, Tolliver, same difference. Blame the coaches for getting two like that.
Also, Toliver benefited from having teams second CBs on him, the secondary shading more towards LaFell

Never would have pegged you for a knee jerker. You've been reading the Rant too much.
At least you've come to your senses with the last couple of comments.
Pipe dream even with Wilson as his recruiter?
Posted on 1/19/10 at 11:26 am to GeauxAggie972
maybe he benefitted from it but I wouldn't say he hasn't proven much... not to mention that I think Randle will be awesome next year esp if Toliver draws most the attention

Other teams have players in the waiting who are just victims of the depth chart.
So when other teams have young guys that haven't played it's because they are "victims of the depth chart" but when LSU doesn't it's because "we have no one developed"?

yes, even with Wilson.

Absolutely. Apparently they come in from High School already developed.

i don't know exactly what teams he's referencing, but our #3 WR to start last year was chris f'in mitchell

There is an article on Rivals about Ambles saying Saban visited him and one other team. I hope that we were that other team

it's not a knee jerk response really when you take into account last years offense that never got any better and the WR depth chart and what's left on the board.

I've never been super high on Hunter. Great athlete for sure. Losing Davis was a huge hit.
If we could somehow pull Ambles, I think that would more than make up for the loss of Hunter. Add in a Reed, Wright, Fobbs, Boone (hopefully him) and you end up about where you started IMO.

yeah i'm not feeling to confident on ambles. just too much would have to go our way to make it happen this late in the game.
Posted on 1/19/10 at 11:30 am to OBUDan
who is ambles? that's a new name for me on here

Well, the idiot OC combined with an incompetent QB does that to an offense. But that's for another thread on the Rant.

It would bring me back to happiness to reel in Ambles, Boone, and Wright after losing Hunter and Davis
