Oh I understand that. But relative to other state schools, I bet they still are top 10% talent wise.
Yeah, I'm just glad we have a coach on the same caliber as our '90's one... Would love to see more recruits stay P&G

I challenged him to name a good legit college player at a D-1 school from 95-2005. He couldnt. He challenged me to find other schools that put out players from 2005-2012. I found 3, and barely had to look. Say what you want.
Damn dude I stopped arguing with you because I thought you had ceded your point, but I clearly underestimated your ignorance.
1)Nat Dorsey, OT for Georgia Tech, 4th round of 2004 NFL draft.
2)Cortez Hankton, St Aug class of 1998, played for the Jags, Vikings, and Bucs
3)The previously mentioned BJGE
4)Paul Irons c/o 2000, signed with FSU and got a shot with the Cleveland Browns
5)Oliver Celestin, UDFA for the Jets in 2004
6)Raynoch Thompson, St Aug c.o. 1995 drafted in 2000
That is 6 NFL players over the span that St. Aug was "down" from 1995-2005. What you got LE?

Add Roland Seymour, started for FSU 98 and 99 and was projected as a high draft pick but blew his knee out his senior year.

We actually have three and frick that Chad Jones is a Purple Knight all day every day. So that will be 4 in the NFL, the other is Selvish Capers. Roland Seymour was a bad arse defensive end for FSU before he ripped up his knee. Nemisis Bates was really good but just couldn't stay out of trouble. Mike Franklin had a good career at SDSU and Brandon Spincer had a good career at Tulane. Brandon Smith @ Vandy. Cortez Hankton broke Jerry Rices records @TSU. Oliver Celestine made a good career as the cardinals special teams ace. I hate to say it brother but ur assessment is pretty wrong here.
The Archdiocese has no authority in who we chose to hire or fire. I personally think Crutch is a good hire for St. Aug. I dont think he is bias simply bc if he was a smart coach he would make friends with all the school for the benefit of the kids.
Now the Fournette situation, I really think that's the Daddy talking all that stuff to try to get the school to cut what the pay in tuition. I know for a fact he just took a civil service job in the city, probably to make more money. I know that the boys are staying with someone in the city during the week. Let me tell you why they say he is not so fond of Crutch its bc he is hard as hell on all of them and works the shite out of him compared to that soft baby shite the previous staff was dishing out.

I wanted highly recruited players that went to legit D-1 schools. You found 3, I'll give you BJGE too even though i shouldnt.. The rest were not standouts. Undrafted guys who happened to get a chance.
So you found 6 guys who got a cup of coffee in the NFL in a 10 year span. Dude i give you a whole decade span. And that is what you come up with and you want to brag on it? 1 guy who was recruited to indiana, 2 to Texas Southern.

No, you didn't look because you knew it would be a chore to find players. Not until i called you out again did you go and search high and low.
only took you 4 hours.

This is false. I know it is false.

O I forgot to mention about why he is clearing house. These dumb motherfrickers started to boycott practice bc Del Lee was not hired as the head coach. They put themselves on the chopping block!

Chad Jones has not played an NFL snap yet. Who does Selvish Capers play for? I thought he was in the arena football league.
he still wasn't highly recruited. He went to SDSU or somewhere
and none of them were highly recruited. i dont see how my assessment is wrong. You just listed a bunch of guys who were not highly recruited who had OK careers at shitty schools
Brandon Spincer at Tulane? lol come on. Dude was talented but a huge bust.
which ones?

Beefense,
Technically we are not under Archdiocese. Thats why we don't receive money from them, and thats why they had to use the Josephites as leverage in the paddle situation. Its a loose association.

A bright spot in this is Alem is coaching up the D-line so maybe he can be in some ears.

I understand the affiliation. Im just saying that I know the Archdiocese has enough of a connection with the school that if a coach or teacher affiliated with the school is rumored or found to have committed some misconduct and the school didn't let them go, they have authority to pressure for a firing.
I am not saying that anyone should get fired. Just that the affiliation that there is between St Aug and the diocese still gives them that authority.

Selvish went to West Virginia. I digress he came up just short of Rices records.
Posted on 4/2/12 at 10:23 pm to memphstigers23
I'm pretty sure Lsufanva is the only one who knows that and he vanished when I asked to share.

Yea I understand but I think the Archdiocese will try to stay away from sports matters unless they want another round of media bs.
