Magee is the QB. But, that is mainly because it is high school and he is the best player on the team. Magee started at running back as a freshman over senior Brandon Taylor who starts for LSU now. Robinson is faster and quicker though......I just don't know that he runs the ball better then TA TA. Franklinton is completely stacked this year, so it doesn't surprise me that they have several kids with SEC schools looking at them. I'd say Franklinton along with West Monroe are the top two teams in the state this year.

FWIW State is recruiting West Monroe as well. We signed their top O-lineman last year and have offered 2 of their players who are seniors this year (Paul Turner and Chucky Hunter)

good for yall, glad to see mullen is recruiting speed out there. Im not sure i believe that is a legit 40 time, seems like more big schools would have been on him, saban recruited trindon holliday who allegedly ran a 4.27 and he was only 5'5. 4.4 maybe believeable for robinson. they will be a stacked team this year with he and magee. guess our staff just felt that the other 3 guys were a little better, but robinson should fit well in that scheme

Another Franklinton WR named Briggs who is 6'5" is camping at State this weekend, and I hear we may offer.

i like briggs, wish he was higher on our board and we had mutual interest cause i think we need a bigger receiver but i guess morrow is higher than him, but im not sure how much morrow really likes us, he seems to go back and forth. briggs will be good somewhere

Just view His recruitment and recruiting stories the way we are treating Mickey's . he tells the recruiters what they want to hear that day, and then turns around the next day or week and says something completely different. It's a game, and he is holding the cards. But AU might have just filled up at WR, State gets briggs they will back off morrow. That leaves Arkansas and LSU, and we may also seek other options

Morrow is the number 1 WR on our board. I do however think that we could take both Briggs and Morrow.

So? You signed their top olineman only because LSU did NOT offer him. You will NOT get any players from WM or Louisiana that LSU offers! You sound like Moo St is some kind of a national recruiting power and dont expect Mullen to be a Moo St very long, because there is a big boy job out there waiting for him.

DUDE your going a little overboard, I never Said ANYTHING about State being a recruiting power or trying to out recruit LSU.

All I said was that I was happy we are able to pick up some SEC caliber recruits from the state of Louisiana.

Chill out bruh

I can't think of a better team to pick up LA overflow players. I hope Mullens brings State back to respectibility. Anywhere but to Ole Myth. I hope they don't have any success with LA players. I live in MS, and most State fans I know are really nice people. Most Ole Myth fans I know are snooty and arrogant.

Im glad to know that people other than Mississippi State fans also believe this about Ole Piss fans. They have to be the most snoody fans in America IMO.

Appreciate the compliment about Robinson and Coach Mullen.

YEah, I'd rather see the bulldogs gain strength from La. recruits then our other SEC brethren....that is for sure.

Josh is definitly 4.4 or better in the 40. As far as Chris Briggs goes there is no better kid on the field. Very intelligent and has the heighth and tools to be something special. I dont know Josh as well but from what I know of him Ms State will be happy. Franklinton as a whole should be stronger than last year and they were the state runner up for 4A.
