Yes, an Harvey Williams came to LSU because they were singing the a&m fight song.

Why is so difficult to believe that the #1 player in the nation, the most coveted recruit in LA in recent memory, got relentless pressure and idiotic comments from some of the nutjobs down here--and that he was turned off by it?

Stop trying to talk your school up like they came into LA and took a kid from LSU that LSU actaully had a damn shot at. LSU had no shot. He was USC for a long time, but it was kept on the down low.

Most coveted in recent memory? Ever heard of Rueben Randle? Yea, he was more coveted by LSU than Joe. LSU actually needs WR this year unlike our RB depth when Joe was coming out. Our RBs have proved we dont need Joe and if Joe was here he would prolly be behind Scott, because of Miles' preference for RBs and judging by Joe's stats this past year in the PAC 10.

As far as comments from "nutjobs" and instate pressure to stay at LSU. Why hasnt it turned off other top players. Why didnt it turn off Chris Tolliver and Rueben Randle? Do you think JM got "treated" any different than CT and RR?

LSU does not put any more pressure on players to stay instate than bama, uga, uf, and ole miss. Thats how it is in the south. All of our fanbases are very passionate about keeping the instate kids at home. Thats just how it is.

From what I've heard and read LSU was certainly in the running starting early on until about December. The longer the recruiting process lasted, the more comments from LSU fans wore thin on him. He reportedly was inceasingly turned off by the comments that he should go to LSU.
From what I've read, he 'played' LSU the same way Nu'Keese Richardson played Florida this year. Never intended to go to LSU. Difference being he was one of the country's top recruits and gamed his home state school over a longer time-span than Nu'Keese did. JTCurtis was right there with him.

As far as Jonathan is concerned, one peep about "wanting to geaux out of state" after his brother's BS, and I'd hope LSU would drop him like a rock.

I think Joe jr has already stated he would like to go OOS. We didnt need his brother and we certainly dont need him.

What I am saying is that Joe was may have been turned off by the relentless recruiting by some LSU fans on the fringe. You know they exist.

LSU had a shot early on. If it makes you feel better to say he was always USC, then that is okay too.

I played against Jonathan McKnight in high school. I was a wide reciever he was the one that defended me the whole night. Granted this was his sophmore year when I played him, but he was not very physical. He may have grown up, but he was not aggressive or physical at all. I dominated him the whole night. I even got three pancake blocks that night from the wr position.

"You think" and "perhaps" he received more pressure.

Sounds like you really know what you are talking about.

JM was no more heralded than RR.

They exist in every fan base and these same rude, horrible, pushy, overzealous people have not turned one player away from LSU other than McKnight, according to you, since Miles has been here.

Well, they turned off JM, who was the LA recruit with the most fanfare in recent memory. Read the book meat market first.

Do you really think people care whether a kid was ranked #1 or #2 or #3 in the nation?

Hes the top player in LA and top 5 in the nation. Hes gonna get treated the same as any top 5 recruit in the nation thats from LA. Your argument is so vague and stupid its unreal and all based on speculation and your opinions and whatever else you can pull out your arse.

The bottom line is: Joe did not leave LSU because of LSU fans. Im pretty sure recruiting is a little more indepth than what some kid reads on a message board on the internet.

2 minutes ago you said "maybe" and "perhaps" they turned off JM.

Now its "they turned off JM".

I guess you just gave big Joe a call to make sure...

Because there is a ton of drop of from colleges interested in the #1 recruit in the country than the guy who is ranked #2.
Thanks for letting us know that, dumbass.

I live right here in BR LA. JM clearly got more fanfare prior to signing day.

Sounds great, he like his brother can watch LSU win championships on the outside looking in.
