re: Jonathan McKnight - Faster than Joe?

To say Joe is not fast is just rediculous. He won the state 100m one year, came in second or third another year, was just nicked by Ambrose at the finish line. He has a second gear that his brother can't even come close to matching. Does his brother even run the 100? Jonathon looks like he has fairly good speed but no where near in the same class as Joe. With the exception of Holiday (and possibly Byrd), Joe is probably faster than anyone on LSU's football team.

you left off the first part, why?
but he is faster than anyone on USC's team without any exceptions FWIW

Taylor Mays is way faster even at 230 pounds. Joe has said so himself

What was his 100m time in high school?
Posted on 12/13/08 at 6:45 pm to cepheid
Don't know his 100 time, but he ran a sub 4.3 40 this summer
Here's what Joe said about Mays:
“He’s faster than me,” McKnight said of Mays. “I wish I had it, whatever he has.”

40 times are so unreliable. Joe ran a 10.59 at the state finals his senior year. Reggie Bush ran a 10.42 at his state finals.

I just looked up his 100 time and Joe's was significantly faster. I'd be to bet Mays puts up a better 40 time when both eventually come out

the only 40 times i trust are at the combines. But I know Taylor Mays is unbelieveably fast when you take into account his size.

that why 40 times are basically useless

yea they did. They said Jonathon McKnight looks faster.

Ali Highsmith says it's harder to fudge a combine 40 time than other 40 times. There are a lot of people timing you and a lot of people watching.

Sorry but I just don't believe that. JM is not as fast as Bush then or now.

Joe McKnight probably would've been good at playing corner too. maybe a shutdown corner with his fluid hips and quickness. Joe might even have a better shot at the NFL had he been playing corner.
i agree jm would have been more productive if he had went to db and not hb

it was the position he looked most natural at in high school

The quality of SFP's posts has dropped significantly in the past week or so.
