The point is to evaluate and recruit good players that fit your system.
Everytime anyone makes a comment that doesn’t bow at the altar of recruiting rankings, is like a sacrilege.
The fact is that there is a lot of bias in the star system. Both in geography and as relates to top tier programs.
However, the issue is not with the 5 stars. Those are easy to rate. It’s everyone else.

Just to illustrate how good they are at evaluating offensive lineman think about this. In 2013 they signed a guy who had zero stars, was not ranked nationally and Wisconsin was his only offer. The 247 site didn't even have a picture of the guy on his profile. He was Ryan Ramczyk one of the Saints 1st round picks last year.
