new jersey is just not "supposed" to produce top talent.

Some big names have come from the area recently.

Minkah Fitzpatrick
Jabrill Peppers
Rashan Gary
Brandon Wimbush
Jarrett Guarantano

The point is to evaluate and recruit good players that fit your system.

Everytime anyone makes a comment that doesn’t bow at the altar of recruiting rankings, is like a sacrilege.

The fact is that there is a lot of bias in the star system. Both in geography and as relates to top tier programs.

However, the issue is not with the 5 stars. Those are easy to rate. It’s everyone else.

Just to illustrate how good they are at evaluating offensive lineman think about this. In 2013 they signed a guy who had zero stars, was not ranked nationally and Wisconsin was his only offer. The 247 site didn't even have a picture of the guy on his profile. He was Ryan Ramczyk one of the Saints 1st round picks last year.
Jeeeeezussss. That's incredible. How in the hell did Wiscy even find out about him?

Wisconsin poached James White from my high school. He was a nobody on the national scene but was such a great runner at our school. They do have a great eye for RB talent.

Look at his 247 profile.
