That RB Josh James was impressive. P.J. had high praise for him after the game.

I know nothing about this team but I know JC always plays tough. I'm excited to see they are playing ESJ again.

JC will run the ball and keep them off the field. It's hard for anyone to "hammer" JC for that reason.

Will Mandeville be any good at all?

Biggest losses are QB Matt Saucier, C Bryan Munch, and DBs P.J. Smith and Robby Green.

Key returnees are RB/LB Kenny Cain, RB Marchez Patterson (should have a breakout year), as well as DL Mike Henry, LB Jonathan Pippen, DB Brandon Porter, and ATH Jonathan McKnight.

Key matchup will be the Curtis OL vs. Trinity's DL. Trinity is always known for a huge, aggressive, defensive front - and the Patriots struggled at times last year to open holes, although the line gelled at the end of the year (especially vs. Evangel Christian and St. James in the finals).

yeah Josh James was a beast but his grades were f$(*ing terrible. He had to sit out his Junior year cuz of them. Pretty impressive how good he was even missing Junior year.

He surprised the Pats with his hard running. That was a tough game. I was watching on TV and I was on pins and needles.

Here's a little dirt on Trinity. They have a big, fast RB who is ranked No. 30 in the nation on Rivals. Committed to Nebraska, so he'll be P.J. Smith's teammate next year.

D. Robinson

Four players on defense are ranked in the top 40 in the nation at their respective positions, including Texas commit E. Barnett.

E. Barnett

The Pats are the decided underdog, but I predict a Curtis W.

It's going to be a huge challenge to move the ball on Trinity's D. Looks like it will be a low-scoring game - on paper.

The 2 teams have a lot more similarities than they have differences except for John Curtis' 22 state titles.

It's a great matchup. Even more intriguing than Longview vs. Curtis last year, b/c Longview has played West Monroe and Evangel Christian recently.

This is more interesting b/c it's the only Metroplex power to face a Louisiana team recently - other than Southlake Carroll vs. Evangel a few years ago.
