Just goes to show how little these rankings matter
DWomack in his last 2 seasons played at LSU - 23 tackles 2.5 sacks (247 portal ranking 90)

Rankings matter to an extent. Sure, they have to be talented. However, the best way is to get players that fit into your scheme and are capable of performing the roles that you need them to. Coaching takes over from there.
For example...Womack didn't really pan out at LSU due to scheme or whatever the reason. I believe we will get better production out of one of the ends we get in the portal.
