FWIW, I don't think that's the case here. Momma may just want to get out of the state. I'd pay close attention where she winds up.

So why all of a sudden does the first recruit in LSU 2010 recruiting class want to go somewhere else. Hill actively recruited Hillard to sign early to get the class going. He knew what RB were on the roster from last year. The only one he was not counting on is Magee. So I don't think it the depth chart thats got him looking. When Cam was ruled eligible, things started opening up. Just seems fishy to me.

Well, he supposedly has some personal things going on right now and Trooper has been in his ear. LSU probably softened up on recruiting him since he was committed. I'd expect Miles to pay him a visit and see if he can reaffirm the commitment. This one is going to be interesting as hell to follow.

hill didn't want to "decommit".

C'mon. I'm not saying he won't still end up at LSU but this is silly. First, people said he decommited just so he could play the game to get his recruiting ranking up because he felt slighted. Then, momma wanted him to do it. Now, he didn't want to do it.
The kid could have easily looked around without the decommiting process if he was doing just to appease momma. I think people are being naive here on Hill's status.

LSU and miles has recruited hill as hard as any recruit. this isn't on miles or lsu. the kid is being pressured. if it was up to him, he'd still be a commit to lsu.

Then who is it up to?

Hill decommitted because his family is going through some things, and it just hit all at once. He was already taking visits and didn't like the title soft verbal. He felt as though he wasn't giving everyone else a fair shot. Had nothing to do with improving ranking. Has a lot to do with his mom though. He is handling it perfectly .

that's a big statement. I think we both agree he ends up at LSU in the end but I wouldn't be shocked if he gets swayed to AU.

there is your answer. out of all the teams, remember he's visited bama the most of any team other than lsu, why would it be Au?
you don't listen to your parents? you don't consider their influence? You think it was entirely cam's decision to go to Au?

Agreed....
but I see Alabama and Auburn are both recruiting other RB's pretty heavily. Are any of these schools holding a scholarship for him? Apparently, LSU is holding one.....
Alabama is pretty heavily into Crowell and Hart.
Auburn seems to be heavily recruiting Lane (Clemson), Suggins (Rutgers lean), Bray (UGA?), and now Hill.
Who are they going to take and who actually lands there. Where is Hill when it comes to the preference?

Exactly. If he's all butt hurt because LSU is all over Hilliard, I hope Hill understands he is obviously other schools 2nd choice as well. Hill can be good, but he's no Hilliard. These people that think Hill is better than Hilliard aren't paying attention. I've seen both of them the past 2 years and Hilliard is an everydown back that can carry the run game on the next level. IMO, Hill is a 3rd down back with great hands that has benefited from running behind #70 in his high school career.

Yeah, I wouldn't be shocked at Alabama either.

He was the one helping get hilliard to LSU; don't think this is the issue.

Hill may become more than a 3rd down back and I hope he signs with LSU, but you can't argue the fact he's running behind the best OT in the nation. Hilliard didn't have this luxury and still broke the state record. Imagine if he had La'ell to run behind. Time will tell...

I am a little confused here. If he is decommitting because of family issues/financial issues, why would be looking around at other schools (Auburn in particular) if it wasn't about money?
Serious question. I haven't been following recruiting as closely this fall because of grad school taking up a large chunk of time, but it doesn't add up, especially since he was such an early commitment.

How does that have anything to do with him being just a third down back?
