No he wasn't. He blew up when LSU recruited him.

Tyrann had a late jump up the rankings when the services saw the offers roll in after he dominated at camps.
He was not highly rated until the very end.
Mo Claiborne is a better example of a no name 3 star turned star. I still cant believe he flamed out in the nfl. In 2011, of the QB threw the ball to a WR that was off screen, I assumed it was intercepted and most of the time, I was right.
