Manti Teo....bar none.

I agree. A great combination of size, speed, and instincts. Down to USC and BYU and word is that he is serious about taking his mission (I hope he changes his mind on that though)

I like Ray Ray Armstrong better than any of them, but he's not listed as a LB on Rivals.

Bani Gbuydu (horrible SP) is recruiting him for us

why would he be doing that seeing as he decommitted from us and signed with Penn St?

Thats not what the title of the thread says.

I think at this point "longshot" is being generous.

So your saying there's a chance?

Should have known Trio would be here to argue over another player looking at LSU.

Its not worth arguing with him. He will match everything you say with a negative. Thats what he comes here for. He never adds anything meaningful to a conversation.

You're all stupid. Julio Jones is the best LB in history!! He's gonna play both ways, raise atlantis from the seas, and save 100 children from a burning orphanage....ALL IN HIS FRESHMAN YEAR!!!

Book it,
BamaNation

Yea, because I tore Jelani Jenkins to shreds in this thread right?

Just clarifying, Manti Teo is the best LB in the country this year.

You're always right Trio.

Manti Teo Scout #4 Rivals #7
Jelani Jenkins Scout # 7 Rivals #9

Its obvious that there is alot that seperates these two LB. I guess there is no argument here.

interestingly enough, tOSU told Jelani he would not be extended a scholly offer after Jelani expressed serious interest

their LB recruiting is like our DL recruiting... wish we had their problem at LB

Some would even argue that Burfict is better than Te'o and Jenkins.

I think I would go:
Te'o
Jenkins
Burfict

With almost zero separation between them.

Keep an eye on #51 from Ohio St. this year. LB Ross Homan. First-year starter and I'm expecting some big things out of him.

No. Because gumps are delusional...ESPECIALLY when it comes to JJ.

This kid is a safety. That's where he will play on thurs-sat. May be linebacker now, but....

I talked to his cousin(andre callender former BC RB) and jelani wants to play ILB or OLB.

We've got to get him down to Baton Rouge for a visit before I get my hopes up, but it does seem like his parents were thoroughly impressed with LSU which could help a bit.

I think he'll end up at Notre dame though.

His parents visited LSU and liked the facilities. He probably will come back for a gameday visit but hes looking to stay up there, probably PSU would be my guess.

Two things to keep in mind when comparing Teo and Jenkins...All of those Jenkins highlight clips where shot when he was 15 years old. He did not turn 16 until late spring early summer of 08...so he has some solid lb's to come when he works out and matures a little more. More importantly is the competition that Jenkins faced verse what Hawaii high school football brings. There is no comparison. Jenkins played against nationally ranked DeMatha twice last year...in fact that's where a majority of his highlight clips are taken. They also played a tough Dunbar team and a very tough and physical St. John's team twica as well.
