Checking up on his stats recently, in the last month Smart is starting to really dominate almost night in and night out. To illustrate this I took his stats:
Stats

And did some manipulating. Prior to his game against Country Day, Smart was averaging 26.8 points per game on 44.8% shooting and had 1.36 points per shot. At the start of the West Jefferson game to now (9 games), Smart is averaging 41.7 points per game on 57.6% shooting and is averaging a downright crazy 1.83 points per shot

To further dive into that. Smart was shooting just 36.6% from 3 in those first 18 games, in the last 9 games: 46.7%. He was hitting 2.9 3's a game in the 18 game stretch and is hitting 4.7 per game now. Smart was shooting 84.8% from the line in the first 18 games, and is now shooting an unconscious 91.5% from the line. Oh, and once again volume increase from 6.2 made per game to 10.8. Lastly, his 2 point shooting was a decent 50.5% with 5.9 made per game those first 18 games, now? 66.1%with 8.4 made per game.

Smart is not only increasing his volume everywhere by a lot, he's gotten significantly more efficient in EVERY aspect. He is truly dominant right now on the offensive end. Oh, and his assists have gone up by nearly 2 a game from then to recently.

I saw him play Walker and Belaire. I was happy to see how much he loves to pass the ball. He’s a good but not great shooter and relies heavily on driving the ball to basket and finishing. Walker had good athletes guarding him and kept him in check. Belaire isn’t worthy of fielding a team. I think he will compliment Waters greatly. I don’t see them playing together a lot. I also see him staying 2/3 years and helping bring back the manic.

Don’t forget that 11 RPG either. Kids an animal. Straight animal. He’s a top 20 player in the country, don’t care what anyone says.

Not that it matters because he's a Tiger but all the reports are saying he was a 5-star signee.

Which recruiting service was saying he was a 5 star?

He's currently a 4-star composite player
LINK

JUST outside of 5-star territory at #30 overall. 247 has him at #32 overall

Is 247 due to update their rankings? Or are they finished with this class?

I imagine there will be at least 1 more update before final rankings. Kids are still playing mid-season right now.

He needs to just give up on the combo guard thing and go strictly SG. He could be a rockstar as a freshman.

His PG role looks unnatural and forced, at times.

So basically a 32 ppg, 11 rpg, 6 assist stat line

Umm yeah...I'll take that.

Ive said all along that smart is basically a 5 star. Do not care if the recruiting services have him a touch lower.

He was also getting the younger guys involved. Often times this year with Scotlandville it's been 4 sophomores on the court with Ja'Vonte.

He's also attacking the rim more this year than he has the previous 3 years because Scotlandville doesn't have a true post player this season.

He will probably play off the ball next to Waters next year if I had to guess. Lots of scoring in the backcourt right there to go with a ton of length/athleticism inside. Will be fun to watch

After watching him play for 4 years, I can tell you this is not true.

Didn't know there was such thing as a 6 star, shows you how much I pay attention to lsu basketball since Lsu has not had too many wins lately in basketball, can't tell if lsu getting better or just coasting not trying to be last in sec

Numbers will soften in Lake Charles and probably falls short of winning a championship this year.
St Paul's is loaded with talent to shut him down and has tons of height with great shooters.
