Bone is actually very good. 90% success on his picks. A good insider even tho he’s a bama guy. Just crystal balled 3 borderline 5 stars to them as well which sucks

No doubt. I think they probably finish number 2 overall and a chance at number 1 if OsU misses on some guys

I don't necessarily think this deters GQM.. but i DO sometimes see taking a "lesser" prospect at the same position as a sign that a team may be losing the recruiting battle.. Similar in that Clemson took Zaire Patterson in order to fill the hole of Korey Foreman (since they won't likely win him back). This *may be* a sign that Alabama doesn't feel great in it's recruitment of GQM

Marshall is also a 5 star CB at a huge position of need.
Alabama is pushing for a ton of other corners like Jordan Hancock, Khyree Jackson, McKinstry, in addition to Marshall

You do realize Jason Marshall is a 5 star? They are going after both those 5 stars. Neither one is considered a step down

Overall percentage only tells part of it, it's also when the pick was placed.
