To Reid's defense, the junior he got schooled by is probably one of the best junior's in the nation. Just saying. Landry looked really good in that film.

You say that like he's just any junior. He's head and shoulders the best wide receiver in the state.

i completely agree bout Landry!

but maybe Reid is overrated as a safety??? because if he is in fact a high 4* and some say a should be 5* then he should not be getting taken to the woodshed by a Junior PERIOD!...

Jarvis Landry would be a top 100 prospect in the 2010 rankings if he were a senior at this point.

He is an elite talent--it doesn't matter at all that he is only a junior as he is still one of the elite WRs in all of the country.

I think Reid is playing hurt. Soon as he gets healthy he'll show the player he is.But Landry is a goddamn fool, I hope he continues to wear that purple & gold in college.

You do realize that eric reid's rating is judged on his JUNIOR year. Take it easy.

If you were at the game, then you would've seen that Landry was one of the only injury timeouts of the game, after he got licked by Reid, he was on the field for a couple minutes before he could get up. Also, Landry caught a deep throw and was headed towards the endzone, but who chased him down before he could get there? Reid.

A high percentage of Lutcher's plays had Landry sit on a screen, where he would stand there and watch a play unfold or he would put in a good block. He doesn't have elite speed either. I wasn't impressed, but I realize he's a Junior.

Reid had no problems getting his nose to the ball quickly.

Also, one of Dutchtown's biggest gains of the night was a fake punt, where the snap went directly to Reid who ran it for a first down.

I hope he proves me wrong! and is a 4 yr all american at LSU...

I think right now...he is a 3* safety prospect..

Reid's mistakes can be fixed with coaching. He has all of the physical tools. It was one game against the best in the state while he was hurt. It's possibly the worst he'll look all year.

You are way off base here. The difference between Senior and Junior prospects isn't like the difference between a college and a HS player, like you seem to be implying.

One of the best junior WR prospects will be favored to outclass a very good senior safety prospect. Elite WR prospects are going to have better athleticism than S prospects, unless we are talking about a rare freak at S like Loston.

in 2 weeks Thibodaux travels to play at Dutchtown. If Reid can contain Trovon Reed, then you'll be here saying how TR is terrible and should lose a ranking. Let's just see how the season plays out

While this is true, he is NOT going to LSU and will very likely not go to any D1 school. His bro attended Southern and he LOVES the SWAC. His Bor was an all conf player and made a pro team. This kid has grades problems as well. He is smart, but his grades suck. So don't get too hyped about him. His team mate Webster will likely play for the LSU Baseball Team. He really prefers baseball over footbal and is a GREAT prospect. My only concern is he will likely get drafted.

He wants to go to a D1AA school like Southern as his brother did. not D1A. He loves the swac and believes that he would fit better at one of those. This comes from his uncle who sees him every other day.
