Although not recruiting talk I guess, this offseason will be big for Lee as well as the rest of the LSU QB's. Last year through spring, RP was still coming back and everyone was sure the job was still his. This year it's up in the air. The competition in practice should be outstanding as the starting QB job is up in the air and that's exactly how you want it. This is where players grow. I just get so tired of reading JJ is better, RS will start, etc.....
There will be strides made by somebody this offseason, it will be interesting to see who steps up there game and eventually wins the job.

I'm not going to predict anything until I see Russell Shepard in full gear during the Spring. When all four of the quarterbacks (I'm not including Chris Garrett) step on the field, then we'll see who stands out.

JL is not JaMarcus! If the coaching staff put JL in front of JJ, I think that Miles won't last another year.

Depends on how JL does. But I wouldn't count on him starting any time soon.

JL will transfer, if he wants to play. JJ has more upside. Between JJ & RS, there won't be much playing time.

I think we'll find out how much Lee loves LSU--if not as much as Flynn, he'll transfer.

yeah I must agree with you there... But I beleive he would be a much better QB in the Big 12

JL has the perfect arm for the Big 12 not for the SEC. lsu doesnt need a outstanding qb we just need a smart one that can manage the game i.e the matt boys

JR>>>>>>>>>>>both of these QBs. put junior year JR on 2003 or 2007 and i'm betting we don't lose a game either year. he was dominant in college.

Russell's junior year was better than anyone will give him credit for.

He did enjoy digging holes for the team to claw its way out of, though.

Most times we came from behind, it was his mistakes that caused us to be behind.

I really believe that this guy could really be special with the right coaching.. He has got a really specail arm!

Yea without 93000 assholes micro managing the shite out of him.

It's confidence. By the end of the year, he was done. I hope the kid finds sucess whether it's here or somewhere else.

He had offers from Nebraska, Oklahoma State, A&M, Texas Tech, TCU, Kansas State, and Arizona.

A buddy of mine was recruiting for a college, he went to see Jarrett practice one day. There were 4 other coaches from other schools there. By the end of the week all 5 had offered. He was at the top with Zona and Neb. Just think, he could be with Bo in Neb right now.

jamarcus russell had a strong arm too, but proved to make too many costly decisions in critical games.

Please play in traffic. JR lost maybe 6 games as a starter in 3 years.

I'm really not sold on the fact that Jerrett Lee won't start at LSU again...

I normally do not bet. But I'll take a wager on this.

Put your money where your mouth is.

JJ has a better arm.
JJ has better feet.
JJ is more accurate.
JJ is a true freshman.

JJ is a true freshman-the each have 3 years of eligibility left, this is a stupid point.

Lee's deep ball is beautiful, and JJ obviously runs better, but both have thrown some shitty passes in their time. The thing with Lee that a lot of people don't seem to get is that he was so fricking confident in his arm that he tried to squeeze the ball into really small spaces. It cost him a lot and i'm sure he'll grow up from it. but at this point JJ is still a bigger project than Lee, and JJ's biggest advantage, and the real reason we need him on the field right now is his his ability to run, and once RS gets on campus that goes away.

I think it says something about who the coaches thought was better prepared that JJ wasn't going to see significant snaps unless lee got hurt like he did this year.

Are you comparing JJ to RS or JL?
JL is a pocket passer so some of that inst comparable.
