so at the end of the day- offers mean nothing up until signing day(s), just ask Goodrich. And commitments mean nothing until AFTER signing day(s). Both sides just need to accept it

Basically.

I think a commitment this far out only minimally increases your chances of signing the guy in December or February.

It may be that schools treat them differently once they're already committed, like they put them on the backburner as opposed to showering them with attention when they're uncommitted.

Some people don't care about the process, a lot of kids do. The ones that do shouldn't commit until they've made all of their visits.

I agree. When kid commits , I would say we will accept your commitment for if you waver at all there is no scholorship for you

You can do this, but only if you are winning.

Dabo has a no visit policy for kids that are committed. Once you commit to Clemson, no visiting elsewhere if you want to sign there.

Yeah unfortunately we are not Clemson anymore and can’t do this. How many big time players you see de commit from Clemsom?

I like it and wish LSU was in a position to enforce that

The hell we aren't. They don't because Clemson doesn't allow it.

I like it

I think as LSU fans we need to be preparinf ourselves for the unexpected possibility of not meeting expectations this recruiting season.

Ill bump this in december.

You'll bump either way or only if you are happy because you don't think expectations were met?

It's funny that when Jaren committed the thread was two whole pages.

Now that he has decommitted the thread will probably be 10 pages of people reveling over the news.

If there is one position I don't care about a guy decommitting it is D-line. Every player on the line this season was recruited by Eaux.

NT
No. 95 Ed Alexander 6-2, 339, JR
No. 72 Tyler Shelvin 6-3, 378(?), RSFR
No. 96 Glen Logan 6-4, 315, SO
Dominic Livingston 6-3, 350, FR
Chasen Hines 6-3, 335, FR

RDE
No. 90 Rashard Lawrence 6-3, 300, JR
No. 93 Justin Thomas 6-5, 277, SO
No. 96 Glen Logan 6-4, 315, SO
No. 54 Davin Cotton 6-1, 262, FR

LDE
No. 91 Breiden Fehoko 6-3, 298, JR
No. 92 Neil Farrell, Jr. 6-4, 287, SO
Dare Rosenthal, 6-7,331, FR
Nelson Jenkins III, 6-3, 290. FR

And this doesn't include the players that he recruited that left early - Arden Key.

That's a good policy. Most coaches don't have the cajones to stick to it though.

That's the whole point. They don't have a lot of decommits because of this policy.
