I agree, I enjoy following the recruitment here in TD, but Ed O needs to take a hard look in the mirror and evaluate what’s the issue and a better resolution to the DLine approach. Hopefully, we ink the guy in the end.
When I hear the word commit from these elite players I chuckle because very few realize what it truely means and it’s just words. This guys deserves the right to enjoy his recruitment because it only wil happen once in most cases and I respect his decision. It’s a lot better to know way up front than the last minute ditch without warning.

IMO, he was the best player of the State Championships weekend. Huge loss no matter how you spin it.

We are almost a year out.
I’m not worrying about this now.
There is plenty of time to make moves.
O needs these kids to buy into this program and keep them locked in.
That’s his job.
Revisit this in November and then panic, until then let these kids enjoy the process.

LSU is bringing in a loaded DL class for 2020 and there's a lot of very good players still high on LSU. I thought Roy showed signs of greatness. But, there's several more players on LSU's list that have shown just as much, if not more, greatness. I will always hope that Louisiana players go to LSU, but as long as Orgeron and staff go out of state and pull in quality layers losing one or two a year won't hurt.

This is what I said about the 2018 and 2019 DL hauls too and those players (Cotton, Livingston) are gone or didn't come (Mathis) which has left us in a fricking pickle.

Ironic though. 247 just bumped him up ahead of Jacobian Guillory on their list and suddenly he decommitts. Well, I don't know what these experts at 247 have seen, but Jacobian is the best dlineman in the state of Louisiana for the 2020 class, and second isn't close. Not trying to take anything from Roy, and this is something I've seen long before Roy decommitted. I'd say Roy's getting bumped up and his decommittment have more to do with sudden interest from some school east of Baton Rouge.
