From Katy, TX. LSU is recruiting a different QB from Katy, but this kid is a perfect prospect for RPO.
I was bashed a year and a half ago for posting about this kid when he played on his freshmen team. People said he was no good if he wasn’t on varsity yet. He’s now ranked as the #3 dual threat in his class and 74th player on 247. I scout as a hobby now, but I know what I’m talking about. He was offered by Bama and Texas recently.

He hasn’t camped with LSU that I know of, but there are some guys that scout the area for LSU. The reason I posted so long ago about him is that I felt like he fit what we were looking for at qb and I knew we were recruiting another Katy area qb in the same class.
It seems we may be late to the party, but he’s just entering his junior year and our new look offense will much better resemble his high school offense. Being 5 hours away from BR is appealing to Houston area kids and families. Bama and Texas making a pretty big push, but his recruitment is really just starting to pickup.

It doesn’t bother me, but the constant doubting and negativity on the site is a bad look. I post here because I love my Alma mater and love scouting and helping young athletes.

Most people here also love LSU.
The influx of new posters has definitely hurt this board.
We have seen recruiting gurus here that just joined the last several months that seem to dig for information then pass it off as their own.
Not sure why people want to do this, I’m just happy to get info from actual insiders.
Also opposing fans have access to this board, so anything positive will often get a down vote.
Just sift through the garbage

I think that how the offense looks and produces on the field this season can make up ground with certain recruits - especially qbs.
In my view the performance or lack of performance of the offense will be more important than when we contacted him.

I agree. In my opinion, this kid could start after Brennan and that’s why I brought him up again. Now getting some big attention, LSU can make a push for him and showcase how he fits. Sounds like Texas really likes him and they are recruiting his teammate who is a top 50 national prospect at DE.
I hope LSU gets in the mix. He plans to attend the game in Texas.

Bronson McCleeland...his recruitment has been slow although he’s the starting qb for one of the best Hs football teams in the nation, Katy HS. I think he came in with a very mature body and he’s been solid, but his measureables and arm strength don’t jump out. He’s a gamer, good football player.
