Gaye is gone if they get Burch, but likely will be in the class besides that. LSU needs more athleticism on the DL.
I don’t see how Lee/Taylor is an upgrade over Logan/Farrell. Again, solid players, but LSU needs more pass rush.
Lorando Johnson is a nickel, which LSU basically has none once KV leaves.

You can’t field a dline with nothing but pass rushers. Teams will run right over them. You need a mix.

Right. Guillory, Roy, and one of Lee/Taylor. Both of them with what LSU needs at basically every other position is redundant in the class IMHO.
People not realizing how badly the Kelvin, K Jones, McCallum, Provens, etc transfers have screwed with the numbers in this class compared to what it looked like 9 months ago. They have needs at every position, so the class needs to be balanced by position.

So just because someone is "110% committed to LSU" doesn't mean it gets reciprocated.
This is what I was wondering. Im sure most of them WANT to sign but do they get the opportunity

In some cases they are stronger sure, but they only have a year or two of eligibility. And in a tight class like this I would hope we don’t cut either of our 4 star highschool DL for Juco DL.

Gaye is a totally different type of player than Lee and Taylor.

Jalen Lee reaffirms commitment to LSU by VolTiger13I will say this though... There aren't any kids going to be willing to leave this class... So just because someone is "110% committed to LSU" doesn't mean it gets reciprocated.
I suspect one might act like this is they are in fact on the Mendoza line

They really like Gaye and expect him to contribute next season

I have no clue who isn't making this class then

Well I've already said one, but no one wants to believe me...

Gaye is weird way to spell Burch
Posted on 11/21/19 at 4:51 pm to VolTiger13
Please tell me no other current DL right?

He was talking about Jalen Lee yesterday, right? so it looks like we are trading burch for Lee at this point if Vol's source holds true
Posted on 11/21/19 at 5:03 pm to Mrtommorrow1987
But then we still have Evans, dumervil, and Webb that we’re taking. At least 3 more need to drop

Gaye would be both the tallest and most athletic DL on LSU's roster. It's pure star-gazing to think he wouldn't be in this class, save for a last-minute commit of a guy who plays the same position like Burch.
It's like people don't watch LSU and see how unathletic our front 3 is.

Vol is 100% correct ... Camron Jackson is next

Just as important, you can't damage relationships with Louisiana high school coaches and communities within the state. It's a tough balancing act when you have to make the numbers work. That also applies to some key out of state areas as well.
