How long ago would someone use a pay phone?
Who would believe a call they received from a pay phone without talking to their Texas AM recruiter the next day and confirming what happened.

Not even the best Harvey Williams story…. Mostly because it isn’t true.
My favorite Harvey Williams story is that in an interview he was the first one who labeled Jon Gruden with thr Chucky moniker.

That story sounds totally made up. Mom got a call from the LSU coach who just left an in house visit and had been recruiting her son and she didn’t recognize his voice and thought it was an A&M coach who had been recruiting her son all along. I guess he disguised his voice so she wouldn’t think it was the guy who just left her house? I’d assume they new him pretty well since she doesn’t think twice when she comes the next. I guess he just dropped by on the daily but she can’t recognize his voice in the phone. Weird on so many levels. So made up.

HW22 played for LSU from '86-'90, and believe he had a medical redshirt in '88. The '89 & '90 seasons were God-awful.
