Looked at some HS Hudl video and it was not earth shaking. I would have to see what he is doing now. Could be a steal.

We’re in a tough spot once again with QB recruiting. It seems like we have the same conversation every year. Unless a kid comes out of nowhere, we’re not going to sign a stud QB again this year. Sucks, but that’s been the norm for about a decade now.

But Jacob free is essentially a transfer, that’s all we need for a good QB at LSU right?

When Burrow and LSU’s offense lights it up this year, it will be a moot point. LSU will get QB recruits when we field a good QB.

I agree, I believe Burrow will do a real good job in this offense, but we need another QB for the 2019 class.

I'm guilty of it too but we've been saying this for a while now. This years crop is t very good but LSU needs to get them a couple of no doubters and beat someone in recruiting for a QB.
I see exactly what's wrong though bc our 2020 QB said it all. These schools are negetively recruiting LSU at this position and it's working for them and against us. Etling wasn't this terrible QB for us he just didn't put up big TD or yard numbers. He was very efficient though.
What we need is an OC and system that isn't afraid to take chances in the middle of the field and isn't afraid to pass the damn ball when we get into the RZ. If Etling would have been allowed to do this he would have had 20 something TDs but probably a few more pics as well.
We would have likely won a couple more game too. We have huge WRs and plenty of TE type players to come up with a RZ system that scores points when we are down there. I really don't understand this when we are playing the smaller schools. We should be passing on them like no ones business.
We now have a few more coaches and analysts so maybe we will do this more in 2018. I personally think having these extra coaches will make some difference for LSU this year. I'm hoping that our defense causes more TOs as well. If we improve in those two departments then LSU will have a great season. GT
