Trovon has some serious size issues. The kid really needs to hit the weight room.

granted Early was bigger, i see him like Early was when we had Bowe and Davis.

Early was also the #3 player in the country coming out (or I think thats what he was) Early technically didn't live up to the hype even though he was a very solid college WR.

He's pretty much a black Wes Welker. Crisp, sharp routes and catches everything. PLUS he can stretch the field.

It sounds like Boldin isn't going to play today, so we should see a ton of Early. He's looked good to me this year, so it's his time to shine. Good to see him back healthy, I bet he has a good game.

Not trying to knock the kid, but he's listed at 5'11" and weighs 178 lbs and doesn't have elite speed. NO FREAKING WAY he's gonna be top 10 WR much less top 5. WRs need to be at least 6' and/or run 4.4 forties to be ranked highly. He's not big and he's not super fast. Not a great combo for the ranking people to look at.

P.S. I am happy we got him b/c he's a great talent, but his measurables are gonna prevent him from being a top rated WR.

I agree. I would take a Josh Reed player any day that catches everything. I miss a possesion receiver that can make sharp cuts in the open field like a running back. The deep speed is nice, but dropping the ball is not.

Sounds just like Drew DiLeo of Parkview Baptist. So, why did Rich Rodriquez offer him a scholarship to Michigan and LSU didn't? You've got a hometown kid that runs a 4.5, runs good routes and catches everything, but no offer.....

You've gotta have studs on the line

I see what you did here.

You can see it in the pros and college both-a dominant force in the middle of the DL makes the entire defense so much better. We have been blessed with several of those over the years-do we see any hope for having one of those next year, or do we have to wait for Freak to get here?

Drew is maybe 5'9" 170. A great return man in High School, smart with good work ethic, but I was shocked Michigan offered him. In college, with a QB and scheme to get him the ball, he could pan out as a decent receiver. He is very fast, but I never thought he would be an SEC/Big 11 pick-up.
