Yeah, yeah. More like you can't comprehend. And you would find a lot of people disagreeing with you about Lacy being the second best back that season. Ask Notre Dame and he played hurt most of the season. My point was that these top LA talents put in significant contributions towards Bama titles. Collins may very well add to it. But overall I would agree with you and say Les has done an admirable job of keeping Saban away from great talent in LA that wins NC and steered them to LSU.

I'm pretty sure I can comprehend better than you can read and quote yourself.

maybe so. I think Yeldon is better.

every player at alabama plays the entire season hurt according to them

they had 1 significant La player contribute to a NC and he wasn't even the best player at his postion on the team.
For the amount of money and time they spend in La, that's not a great return on investment IMO.

The best player in Alabama the last fews years have gone to Florida State. I see Jimbo Fisher and his people in Mobile more Sabans.

Read the last sentence I typed. See, what I mean about comprehension.
quote:Yeldon served his purpose with Lacy last season. A nice change of pace back. He has exceptional quickness.
I think Yeldon is better.
quote:Lacy is a top back and will be in the NFL. The injury he had affected his running ability and he was still very effective.
every player at alabama plays the entire season hurt according to them

we need to start giving the state of Alabama more looks
No we don't. That's why Saban is recruiting players in LA, TN, GA and FL.
The talent is good, but not at the same level as these other states.

you lost me somewhere after chapter 6

Come to Mobile, lost of talent in Mobile and Baldwin counties and often is looking around.

I'm surprised you didn't get blasted for starting this thread... You bring up a valid point but I think that you may be analyzing it too much..
I don't think that he recruits LA talent with the sole intent of robbing them from LSU.. I think it's just a result of LA having the abundance of talent that it does all the time...
Nonetheless, good thread... This is a good topic

saban gets what saban wants.
since miles made the comment and boosted on signing day about him taking two recruits from alabama (phelon jones and one more), saban has kicked his arse in recruiting and since then miles has not been able to take any one of worth from bama while saban has raided louisiana big time.

Like who? Look at all the players Saban didn't get, beckwith, randle, etc. so he got lacy, who couldn't get into lsu anyway, Sylve who hasn't done shite, Kenny bell, who was committed to lsu and Collins, who hasn't done shite yet. Who else?
Posted on 8/21/13 at 9:38 pm to Weaver
Weaver everyone on bama's roster picked Alabama over LSU, didn't you know? The only reason we got the good players we did is bc bama couldn't take anymore... The future of our program is frickED as long as saban is there

It stops with C Rob! Miles will pencil him in at starting left tackle day 1 for the next 3 years.

If all of the "big fish" stay and go to LSU and we beat bama this year, it'll definitely swing the momentum a bit. However, as long as bama remains dominant, kids will keep looking at them. Bama also knows that we are the greatest challenge to them and they'll do whatever they have to as a staff to stick it to us. Winning solves problems. We just have to beat them. Easier said than done, but we have the talent for it.
