Is there a chance that the entire defense staff stays on except Daronte Jones?

I think it’s safe to say Raymond stays and Blake Baker is a lights out recruiter and coach. Look what he helped Damone Clark turn into this year. Then you have Andre Carter who would be the one to leave but then you are almost sure to lose Quency Wiggins. I know you don’t hire coaches based on a recruit but damn if he isn’t a big time recruit. The DL also played very well under Carter this year like Farrell, Ojulari and less known guys like Soni Fanua.

Baker is up for the DC job at SMU. I don't know that it pays more than his current gig.
Most of Kelly's DC options are going to coach linebackers, though.

Seems weird to say we could hire a new DC but keep the defensive assistants.....

To be honest I think Daronte has at least earned an interview. If his true defense is that multiple 3-4 attacking style we saw over the last month instead of the standard 4-3 that O wanted to run. I don’t think he keeps the job but he deserves an interview. I think you at least keep Raymond and Baker on staff though.

You throw money at Baker to make him stay. His recruiting is real and he’s a damn good position coach.

He for sure has earned an interview. Honestly, the defense was lights out towards the end. But what was the big change? Blitz packages? If so, then why so late in the season? If there are clear and reasonable answers to those questions then he should get a solid look.

Soni Fanua was one of my favorites. Wish he had one more year. Had a big smile in the games. Glad I get to see him one more time

Honestly I wouldn’t mind Blake Baker getting an interview if it means keeping him. He’s been a DC before and he’d take care of the LB coach too. Then you’d have a coach free to either coach safeties like Daronte or somewhere else depending on what needs you have. If I’m Kelly though I’m going big game hunting trying for guys like Mike Elko or Barry Odom first.

He’s got to be getting tired of that “co-DC” title. He’s be walking into an LSU room already stacked to run his defense. We are losing some talent on the DL but we also have a lot of talent from the 2021 class that redshirted ready to get snaps on top of the mainstay guys like Maason Smith, Ojulari, Roy, Guillory, etc.
