It’s been said before by Vol.

They don’t “process” a kid for hope. Each decommitment has had another kid there to push him out. May not be 100% on everyone. But I doubt we end with 20 commits because we pushed kids out for hope.

The second we call Clayton with a solid offer he’d jump on board. I think we have Evans in the bag though And at DB, we signed 4 true corners that by alll accounts can all play last year. We’re bringing in Ricks and Toles who are both big time players and we will bring another safety on board. We’ll be fine there
THIS!!! All this overreacting is a bit much. We all knew numbers were tight and with our success, players were gonna show interest. This staff knows what they’re doing. Let it play out fellas

He has gotten bit by overconfidence in recruiting a few times though.

He's never been in the position he's in now. You have no clue what is going on behind closed doors.

Who cares what fans think. Most didn’t think it O would be a good coach. Let the man do his job!

Coach O has always been a great recruiter. Kids and parents love him, but there has probably always been a little doubt if he could really deliver on what he said he could do (win as a HC at the highest level). This year should erase that doubt and make him an unbelievable recruiter with a Heisman, SEC championship, and hopefully a NC on his HC resume to go along with his usual sales pitch.

Interesting we lost a few at the end yet were unable to flip anyone to us. That old saying, "One in the hand is better than 2 in the bush" comes to mind with processing committed kids for a chance at bigger fish. If we don't get Burch then you have to be disappointed because it looks like the class lost momentum over the last couple of weeks. Ultimately, we should have kept the earlier recruits like Burns.
