I know some dumbasses will jump all over me, but, according to his uncle, LSU is trying to get him to transfer, and his uncle said he'll probably do so.

Sounds good. Thanks for the info, and I hope it happens

You hear this directly from his uncle...or just word of mouth?

Would this be an NCAA violation? It seems like it would, but I don't know the rules. Maybe not.

We'll be getting a serious speed back when Luther Ambrose transfers from ULM to LSU.
Yeah, I think Gore > Blue because he has that certain...

I remember reading about Ambrose on an ESPN evaluation a couple of years ago. They were fairly impressed with him. He is a guy with tremendous speed and above average agility. He's just a little on the small side. Bigger than Trindon, but a little small.

No stats or profile, but he was a burner a few years back for St. James. Pretty damn good player, just on the small side.
Edited. Profile found.

2008 (Freshman): One of just four true freshman to play on the season and the only to contribute significant playing time...returned a kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown at Arkansas State -- it was the seventh-longest kickoff return in school history and the first for a touchdown since Charles Estes in 2003...Ambrose finished the game against the Red Wolves averaging a school record 42.7 yards per return...caught a 69-yard touchdown pass against North Texas...averaged 18.1 yards every time he touched the football...finished 80th in the NCAA and fourth in the Sun Belt in kickoff returns (22.7)

ULM needs Ambrose more than LSU. So as a fan of both, I hope he stays at ULM.
If this rumor is even true at all.

Trindon is faster, but doesn't show a ton of lateral quickness for a guy his size IMHO FWIW PIIHB.
TH simply has fantastic straighaway speed and that is it. He goes down when someone tugs on his shirt because he is so small and amazingly he has almost 0 cutback or shiftiness. I will however put him way, way, way ahead of Xavier Carter who was one of the most overrated football players I ever saw at LSU. He simply didn't like the contact and so did nothing but dance around or go out of bounds. TH is a football player IMO but simply not a very good one, which is why Rivals rated him a low 3* out of HS (5.5 I believe). If he can't run around people he is toast, because he isn't afraid, but simply doesn't have the moves. Gore is much, much better than TH could ever dream of being and is a 4*, maybe even a medium level 4* player.

If he doesn't use it then it's like he doesn't have it. Trindon might be fast but those Green and Davis (and Rainey and Demps and James) are what they are b/c they can make people miss. Trindon needs a wide open lane b/c if he gets touched, he's going down.

Is Gore a Dexter McCluster/Demarius Johnson type?

What I like about him that came across on the videos was that he seems to see the field well. Right now, he seems to see the holes/possible areas to run and which way to cut a lot better than say Charles Scott or Keiland Williams do. Quite a few posters (and I would be one of them) have never thought that Scott or Williams are exactly "run to daylight" runners. Watch this Gore guy and he takes a different path every time.
Cuts to the sidelines
Runs straight up the middle to slide between the defenders.
Goes left and then cutbacks to the right.
Gore right and then cutbacks to the left.
Of course he is faster than Hester but much smaller, but thinking back about it, how many first downs that Jacob Hester picked up that Charles Scott or Keiland Williams would not have picked up. Remember the key play in OT? I think against Kentucky 2 years ago. Hester got "nicked" as Les would call it and was out of the game late. Scott gets hit from the side and goes down to end LSU's chances in the game as they didn't get the first down. No way, Hester goes down on the play, probably isn't even touched. Hester sidesteps to the left and guy diving probably doesn't even hit him.
Guys like Hester and hopefully Gore see the field well...that is not a strength of either Scott or Williams.
