I have a source that said to expect a 1/4" growth spurt over the next 7 months

Dont think his height matters all that much imo

He should take growth hormone. Stuff works till your twenties... Not like a year suspension would matter

Russell Wilson, Drew Brees, Johnny Manziel are all 6-0 or shorter. I'm not worried about his height. The kid can play.

How the hell can anyone predict that in this thread? Jesus.

Ok y'all are just doing too much now.

I know personally I was 5'11 and some change all throughout upper high school. I am a legit 6'1 now.
I have heard studies show maintaining great nutrition and exercising among other things can contribute to growing post 18 years of age.

The majority of men stop growing height wise between 16-18. That's not written in stone, as a fair percentage of the population can still grow up to 21 or so. That depends on genetics, diet and other factors. At least this is what a doctor told a relative of mine recently FWIW.

I would suggest that you schedule an appointment with your primary care physician. Epiphyseal plates are a break at the end of long bones that allow for their longitudinally growth during our growing years. The age at which most men's epiphyseal plates (also known as growth plates) close is variable. In nearly all cases, a man's epiphyseal plates will close at a later age than a woman's. This always occurs after the end of the final growth spurt. This means that this can occur anytime between the ages of 16 and 21. Most men will find that their growth plates close somewhere in between these ages around age 18 to 19. There is usually never a need for a verification test to look for growth plate closure. The only time that I can think of that this would need to be done is if growth seemed to stunt at an abnormally young age. Physician will get general x-rays of the wrists and sometimes the knees to look for closure the plates when they are when they should be otherwise be open. If this is a concern of yours, and I would suggest that you schedule an appointment with your primary care physician which in your case could be a family medicine physician or a pediatrician. Good luck.

I think he will make it to 6' 0" by the time he is 20

I was 5'10" when I graduated. My orthopedic surgeon told me my growth plates were pretty much hardened so I was done growing. I'm a hair over 6' now.
