to answer your question austin thomas is LSU's general manager basically.

except this year we somehow conned the NCAA into giving us a waiver allowing him to go out and recruit for our Dline coach pete jenkins.

A lot of those comments were aimed more at a couple of less informed OU trolls who have been hanging around here flaming over Philips and saying that Stoops was definitely going to be there on Friday. I'm guessing that OU insiders meant Mike Stoops was visiting Friday and these other posters just misunderstood.

yeah, definitely. whomever makes the trip certainly won't be doing so in violation of any rules.

Based on your comments, you seem much more level-headed and informed about what is going on.

appreciate it, but it is probably more accurate to say that i'm not going to pretend like i have a clue as to what's going on.

no worries.

thanks, i've been on the site for a while, but this is my first foray into the LSU recruiting board. we are after the same players a lot of times, but not really ever like this. i DON'T like the competition.

I feel similar if we're competing for QB's. thankfully, we aren't.

This is one of the biggest recruits I can remember going head to head with OU. Glad to hear Mykel is doing well so far. I remember really wanting him on our team. I think he's got a bright future.

Phillip Loadholt is the last one I remember. I think we couldn't get him qualified and OU did so we went there.

Then why did we go 3-1 against the sec In bowls this year and ou we beats every sec team we play including your big brother bama and we would scorch Lsu no questions asked.....and the sec teams were the worst defensive teams in the bowl games....there is absolutely no offensive talent threw out the sec besides a couple backs and that protects your defense thats y bama was gassed after 85 plays we can run 100 no problem

Surely this guy will come back here and take his medicine, right?

ETA: And cheers to theOG and BuddyBuckets for being the kind of guests from the opposition we like having around. Intelligent and civil conversation is welcomed by...most of us.
