Thought it was known he was buds with him? Smith is buds with Foreman too. I think Tristan is good friends with Caleb Williams on OU too. Seems like he's just giving congrats to his friend. I think you're looking into it too much.

Honestly, a lot of good things happened for LSU today. Top 3 pieces of news today was Leigh pushing his decision timetable back.

Smith has been, and can now officially be, one of our biggest recruiters. He's gotten close with alot of the recruits, namely Leigh and Foreman. I expect him to do his very best to get those 2 to Baton Rouge. In the end, the buddy buddy stuff goes out the window and these kids go where they feel most comfortable. Hopefully we have done and keep doing, as a staff, what we can to make them feel comfortable.

How do you know that? Was it leaked already he signed with USC? It's not going to stay hidden for long I know that. If he signed with anyone it's going to leak.

If he was locked on OU, he would have signed. Nothing stopping him. I don’t think we have him locked down, but there is a chance. Let’s ride.

Him not signing today means something. I'm not saying he comes here, but if we were the presumed leader like OU leading up to today, we would be nervous about losing him.
