if trindon can play at 5ft 5 and 155 pounds

His senior playing weight was WAY higher than this, wasn't it? I thought he was above 170 for sure..

Gore needs some muscle - not ready yet.

Did anyone else hear one of the sportscasters say Gore was 5'5"? Am I the only one?

He looked good. He displayed vision and quickness to the hole, but just lacks size. Needs to get to 190lbs.

He may redshirt, may not. Recruiting is by no means an exact science, but one thing I look for is how did they do against top competition. Watching some kid tear up a 1A league doesn't fill me with a ton of confidence, but when you excel against some pretty stout high school competition, you can probably play. Gore put up some insane YPC numbers in the biggest league in the Miami area, so while I think that 40 time, height etc are important if you can tear up arguable the best high school competition in the land, you can play.
As far as RB goes, we've done well. Ford set numerous records in La., Gore excelled in one of Floridas hardest areas and Ware competed in a hard Ohio district. I'm more confident about that kind of pedigree than some kid with a alleged 4.3 time from a 1A school in bumfrick South Dakota.
We'll be fine with RB for quite some time.

I heard them say it but he looked taller than that. He looked a little like Russel Sheppard in build. Definitely could use some bulk but showed great football instincts and tenacity.

I liked what I saw from Gore today. Looked more like 5-8, maybe 5-9 165-170 lbs, but as many posters have mentioned, he hits hole very quickly, shows great vision, and makes great cuts out of the hole. IMO, the only thing holding him back from being an elite runner is his size.

He is the best small RB we've had since Faulk. I like the kid a lot and can't wait to see him play at about 180-185.

Furthermore, I think Ware will be very special as a feature back. He and Ford are absolute specimens physically! Just hope the Oline improves or it will be a shame.

I'm no where near hard core on the recruiting thing but wathching that film link I immediately saw Dalton Hilliard especially when he made that 360 spin move... Am I nuts on this?

He doesnt look any better running the ball than West Monroe's Paul Turner.

Gore is not yet strong enough, and needs some muscle from what I saw.

If 40 times mean nothing why do they time 40's at the NFL combine? Also Gore looks like a project, or reach at best.

He looks like a slower version of Chris Rainey. Gangly looking body, but runs hard and is quick through the hole.

I wonder about his speed though and how effective he would be on kick returns. Who is going to replace Trindon there?
