They don’t need two. They have already added one earlier in the portal, probably Vtech guy. They added Toviano as well. (Needs more practice obviously)

Nah you need 1-2 safeties. The VT guy is a better corner than a safety but can play safety. Toviano IMO is not a SEC starter. Stamps is average and there is no guarantee Pickett will be ready game 1. For this team to take the next step you need competent safeties which we haven’t had in years.

Some of yall are impatient not every safety is Caleb downs day 1. 1 safety is good enough why can’t spears, a former top 60 recruit going into year 2, seize a safety spot ?

He actually did earn pt he played a ton early in the season. But after the first bye week the staff opted to go with the vets in the safety room.

Because at this point he can’t tackle, if he improves there he has a ton of potential.

He could but he looked mighty lost. His movement skills weren't what I expected. And grabbing 2 safeties doesn't mean anyone is giving up on Spears.
Sage, burns, and kylin Jackson all left. You have to replace those players.
