What makes you think we aren't?

How people still question our coaching staff, let alone our recruiting staff, amazes me.

for a problem. Whether we get him or not, remember what happens to a lot of great backs. They get hurt. Just look around at some of the recent studs such as Lattimore. We really need depth at this position and I don't see much of it down the road...

One of our offensive problems has been that we've had way too many RB's. Do u see any other teams playing 5-6 RB's? I think Miles now understands that u have to let a RB get into rhythm. It takes at least 12-15 carries for that to happen. Trying to give all these talented guys touches has been detrimental and has allowed our offense to be predictable. Recruiting is one of Les Miles' biggest strengths, he knows what he's doing. Just sit back and enjoy Hill and Fournette taking this program back to BCS games every year.

1. LF is coming to BR
2. Miles has no problem recruiting quality backs

Every day I check this board and there's the same LF threads.

People worried about LF
People tired of seeing the same shite every day and mocking them
People coming to bitch about the regs being mean

I agree the "insiders" can be cliquish and pick on rantards but frick, this is every day!

And it cost us the Clemson game. If thats the way u want to look at it. The only reason the play worked at Alabama is because the corner who knew it was coming tried to come up and make a play behind the line of scrimmage. We only needed a FG in OT to win at that time. He took a chance didnt work out. Look at the tape in the Clemson game and watch their defense audible every time Ford came into the game. Is it so hard for you guys to understand to try and utilize 5-6 RB's in one game plan is detrimental. If not why doesnt anyone else do this at any level?
I for one am ready to see a huge one-two dose of Blue and Hill next year. Miles will recruit enough RB's, depth will not be an issue.

It's not the fact that using multiple running backs is bad, it's because every time Ford came in it was the same exact play every time.

My question is what other backs will we take? Les plays a physical style of football so hopefully big physical backs who can run inside with regularity and not get injured. Les has done a good job recruiting backs. When he has recruited smaller backs they either change positions or they leave the program.

I do agree with that Bunta. It was ridiculous. We looked like a JV team at times. But u have to admit its difficult to get 5-6 Rb's touches in 1 game plan and not be predictable especially during the bowl season. The gumps knew what we were going to do as well the yr before. The good news is those days are gone.

I'm confused where you get that we use 5-6 backs a game, especially on a consistent basis. The only time I can think that we might have used 5 in one game would be in 2011 with Ford, Hilliard, Blue, Ware, and very rarely Magee in mop up duty. I can never recall 6.

Blue and Hilliard carried the load in 2012 until Blue went down and Hill stepped up. Ware and Ford were sprinkled in with Hilliard not playing much at all towards the end of the year. That isn't 5-6 backs a game.

Your post is based on the old unimaginative/predictable and overall offensive struggles of the past seasons. Fournette is the obvious main and only target known. I guess we will see what type of backs they are looking for based on how the offense is ran this season. How will Magee and a possible Brazil be used coupled with the usual rotation guys of Blue, Hill, and Hilliard.

we take 3 regardless. For all we know some of the others could end up having a better career than LF.

I'm looking for recent studs that have been hurt, but only one I'm seeing is Lattimore. Everyone else has been pretty healthy. And look at Lattimores build. Huge upper body with a lot of weight, but he had skinny legs. And we will take 2 RBs this year. McGhee and Hilliard will be back.

Exactly! Fournette is well rounded and stout, this is one guy who I don't see getting injured easily. Bigger quads and more powerful legs that allow him to be more explosive and push the pile.

I've yet to get an answer to what if LF gets drafted with a war looming against North Korea. Do we save his offer?
