Reggie Bush helped talk Joe McKnight into going to USC. I think it's hard for in State Blue Chippers to not be swayed by an out of state like USC when they have someone like Reggie Bush calling them. I wonder if McKnight had it all to do over again if he would have stayed closer to home.

From a football perspective he should consider his time at USC a failure.

considering LSU won a BSC Championship while he was at USC and they didnt... Id feel a little stupid in his shoes... esp the way he committed to USC.

Karma's a bitch!

Depends on what his objectives were.
Maybe all he wanted was a nice ride and some walkin' 'round cheese...

You know it's mildly ironic that McKnight might leave USC the same year that Bush leaves the Saints. Assuming RB is a cap casualty

He went to USC for that excellent Mass Comm department, right?

He would have had a shot at the NFL if he attended Slippery Rock.

I wonder how this might affect other in state recruits and his brothers decision on where he will go to school?

Which he will NOT be receiving a degree from?

ETA: It makes me happy that JM's career was lackluster at best at SC. Not b/c he chose an OOS school, and not b/c he chose USC...but b/c of the way he strung LSU along and made an embarrassing spectacle of things.

He'll end up cut from an NFL roster, and/or on a practice squad, after a couple of years.

yeah im sure SC did nothing to improve his skills the simple fact that many of you cant get over this after 3 years is freaking ridiculous

I doubt that he has too many regrets. He got plenty of exposure at SC, and with his propensity to fumble, would he have gotten that many carries at LSU? I will never understand the running back rotation under Porter, but fumbling even once was enough to kill one’s playing time.

Dude, JM would've ended up in the NFL regardless of where he went to school.

His development has been nothing extraordinary that he couldn't have received at 100 other schools.

And if you get offended by that, then you're just being defensive.

Steven Ridley is happy Porter is gone. If not, he'd get the KW treatment.

Bottom line, McKnight made a mistake by going to USC.

I'm sure you would have been fine with Matt Barkley stringing the home-town Trojans along until NSD and then committing to Notre Dame or UCLA, eh?
