I'm pretty sure he had an offer from an in-state school, very near to his home (ULM), that would have allowed him to stay near his illegitimate child and help raise the child like a responsible adult.

Talking about sports does not require you to be a douche bag and apparently spelling is not a high priority in Mississippi. But working at the local sonic allows you to be a dbag so you should be good to go.
