Hypothetically speaking, would the LSU fanbase welcome De'Andre Johnson

...with open arms?

I for one would. I'm all for second chances. This kid made a huge mistake and paid dearly. So far, he's doing all the right things to get back to the next level.

I think we could possibly land him and his brother.

Only way I see this happening is if the QB position is a trainwreck this year.

I'd be open to it if the coaches felt like he would take care of his business. I'd like to see us take two QB's this year.

Not necessarily. We could lose Etling and BH (maybe not likely but not out of the realm of possibility either) after this year. Leaving us with McMillan and Scott.

We wouldn't lose both Etling and Harris. Both are juniors and if for whatever reason Harris went pro, Etling would probably start as a senior. If Harris stays for senior year, Etling wouldn't transfer again probably, but even if he did we'd still have rSO. McMillian, rFR. Scott and FR. Narcisse to back Harris up.

You're right. Etling should still be here. I was thinking he's a sr for some reason.

I'd like to see us recruit a juco QB to give us some experience when Harris and Etling leave after '17. I don't think McMillan will be a starter here and Scott will be a redshirt sophomore in '18. It'd be nice to have someone with some college starts compete with Scott and hopefully Narcisse.

I mean if we cant find a starter between a 4th year junior, 3rd year sophomore or 2nd year freshman....we're in deep shite anyways.

Do you feel comfortable with those 3 though? I think it's worth it to find a juco or grad transfer.

I thin kit will be Scott or Narcisse in 2018. Scott especially if we figure out how to properly build an offense around a spread QB. I know he isn't a "star" talent but the kid has everything you want in a QB except for height. He has the will to learn anything and make adjustments. Dude just simply won in high school, and it was directly related to his play.

I would rather risk not having his talent than turning off future recruits & their parents. No thanks.
