Couldn't tell ya. He planned to go to Tech regardless of whether or not he played football.

You sound like an idiot. Maybe he wanted to get out of Baton Rouge and Tech is right there in academics with LSU for the most part. That's what I wanted and many others want from this area. I know a lot of kids like myself who were accepted to LSU but had no desire to go to LSU.

Would love the username if the later part was changed to QNasty, brings back interesting times. On a different note, Barnes is one my favorite soccer officials in our area, super nice guy as well

Nah.

Tech has some programs that can rival or possibly exceed LSU for sure, but there is a reason why LSU is the flagship school in the state. I have nothing against kids that want to spread their wings a little and get out of Baton Rouge. In hindsight, I wish I would have done this earlier in my life (although I don't regret attending LSU).

Then why did you apply?

I have no idea what he's majoring in, but if its to do with engineering (which is a good and popular choice these days) then Tech is superior to LSU....why wouldnt he go there? And Tech is far better at getting kickers to league anyhow...

I hear this a lot and have never seen anything to support it. Do you have a link or some kind of metric that could actually compare the two? I do know Tech offers a few engineering degrees that LSU does not. But when comparing the common programs, how do you measure which is "better"? Many members of my family have graduated from LSU with various engineering degrees and they all seem to be doing well for themselves. Engineering is arguably the most respected program at LSU.

Yeah, but when you want to "get out" why go to fricking Lubbock? That place sucks worse than Baton Rouge, and that's saying something.

It is engineering. He has a small shot at making it on an NFL roster or practice squad next year
