Honestly probably none. This guy has not really recruited at LSU. His lack of recruiting skill has put us where we are in terms of DE's and LB's.

For a guy to be known as an "LB guru" his LB gets have been mediocre really. His only 5 star LB in his 7 years here, has been Garrett from last year. Anybody thinking Chavis is that much of a recruiting guy, are crazy.

We've sent multiple top level DL and secondary players to the NFL, but before Kwon leaves, I can count Sheppard and Minter as our only two ones from the LBs.

Bottom line is we will never know regardless of what is said by the potential recruit.

Perry Riley, who is arguably doing as well as the other two.

His timing was vindictive and based on trying to avoid his buy out penalty. I'm sure he knew he was leaving yet he let this drag out.

That hurt bowl performance, a distraction to coaches and players. Then he hurt recruiting by placing us in a position of defense with recruits, pun intended.

These kids do not like the uncertainty of a program in transition. We are simply telling defensive recruits to have faith. That only goes so far.

He never made us lose any. Remember All we currently have is verbals. There is always a flip before signing day.

Perry Riley was already good before Chavis got here. Played as a true freshman, played in every game as a sophomore, started as a junior with 60 tackles (37 solo), 7.0 TFL 1.5 sacks, 3 Pass D, 3 QB Hurries, 1 int. Outside of the extra 34 assisted tackles, he was pretty much the same his senior and only year with Chavis.

I'm sorry, I was commenting on the post about Minter and Sheppard being the only ones. Never really thought about how much Chavis had to do with him tbh.

The John Chavis to Texas A&M news continues to have a ripple effect on LSU recruiting. Today, four-star junior college cornerback Justin Martin has committed to Tennessee and Chavis' departure is a primary factor in that decision.

"I've officially committed to Tennessee," Martin said on Wednesday. "I wanted to go to LSU but then Chavis left to go to Texas A&M."

Because Chavis was such a primary factor in Martin's interest in the Tigers, his departure made Martin's decision easy.

It is dead period right now so if they are contacting Armadi It's a violation and he is an EL I think there's only 2 days between end of dead period and 1st classses

Mack wasn't coming to LSU.

Phillips in no way was going to sign with LSU.

All the players that have declared for the NFL were said to be going in late Nov.

Only the 5-9 db to Oregon is a Chavis lose
