quote:
Chasen Hines, 4-star DL: Hines, committed to the Tigers as a defensive lineman, continues to see the majority of his snaps at guard. Nonetheless, the Texan made the most of it, registering 6 pancake blocks for Marshall (Texas) High.
quote:
Dare Rosenthal, 4-star DL: LSU’s 6-foot-7, 330-pound defensive line pledge finished the regular season with the same sort of performance you could expect week in and week out. Rosenthal recorded 6 tackles, including 2 for loss. He also saw action at offensive tackle.
quote:
Tae Provens, 3-star RB: Despite a defense fixated on slowing him down, Provens was the driving force of the Madison County (Ala.) offense. The elusive tailback amassed 137 yards on 21 touches and scored on a 7-yard touchdown right before halftime. Provens was also effective in the short-passing game, particularly on screens
quote:
Zach Sheffer, 3-star H-back: Sheffer hauled in one reception — a 2-point conversion — and also recorded a handful of tackles from the defensive end spot and a handful of pancakes at H-back.
quote:
Dantrieze Scott, 3-star ATH: The versatile Scott was a force on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he recorded a 31-yard touchdown reception. Defensively, where he projects to play in Baton Rouge, Scott led Ferriday (La.) High School with 9 tackles, including 3 behind the line of scrimmage.
quote:
Ar’Darius Washington, 3-star DB: Evangel’s Swiss Army Knife amassed 94 total yards of offense and scored on a 16-yard touchdown run in the regular-season finale. Washington also recorded 3 tackles and broke up 4 passes on the night.
quote:
Micah Baskerville, 3-star LB: Baskerville led the Evangel Academy (La.) defensive with 9 stops and returned an interception for a touchdown in a lopsided 56-21 victory.
2019 commitments
quote:
Tyrion Davis, 4-star RB: Davis closed out a sensational junior campaign with another 100-plus yard effort. The 4-star tailback churned out 125 yards rushing and another 60 yards receiving and found the end zone twice in the process.

quote:
Maurice Hampton, 4-star DB: As offenses try to avoid throwing in Hampton’s direction, the defensive back from Memphis, Tenn., has made also made a significant impact in other ways. Hampton scored 2 touchdowns on offense and housed an 80-yard punt return. He was targeted once at his typical cornerback spot.
Odds and ends
quote:
Cameron Wire, LSU’s top offensive line commit, sat out East Ascension (La.) High School’s regular-season finale after he had a kneecap pop out of place last Friday. Wire aggravated an earlier injury and should return in time for the playoffs.
•Davin Cotton, the state’s top-ranked defensive lineman and LSU commitment, is expected to miss the entire season due to an undisclosed leg injury.
•Jaray Jenkins, a 3-star WR commitment, is expected to miss an extended period after sustaining a fractured tibia in September in Jena (La.) High’s season opener. Jenkins underwent surgery on Sept. 11 and shed his walking boot this past week.
•Nelson Jenkins, a 3-star defensive lineman, is out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury. Jenkins has battled hand and lower-body injuries dating back to the spring.
•Kenan Jones, the Tigers’ top wide receiver commit, sat out his team’s game Friday and likely will be sidelined the remainder of the regular season as he deals with a high ankle sprain. He first suffered the injury in September. Jones is expected to return for Berwick (La.) in time for the playoffs.

Dantrieze Scott looking like a big time steal for us. Great find by the staff.

Yes it is but our underrated recruits are also kicking some arse. Hopefully these guys will get their injuries out the way early.
