re: How does LSU Finish this Class?

We will still pursue Willis.
I imagine if the staff gets bad vibes, they'll back off and let him think about it.
(and by "bad vibes" I do NOT mean Willis playing games, I mean him being indecisive.)
The time has been invested, everything (almost) has been laid on the table. Time is short, LSU is trying to flip people. Slots become filled; there is no fence (to keep people out!). There is no holding spots for in-state that commit elsewhere (level playing field).
And yes, that is the rule... well, rule is a bad term... preference. If you are in-state and you get an offer you get the spot. Once you commit elsewhere you are no longer in-state. It is what it is.

And les miles gets ALMOST every African American mother he meets to commit to lsu
But the mother doesnt sign a LOI. Just sit back and watch A n M clean up. Les will figure it out...about three years after everyone else has.

truth… not that we don't have young black assistants, and from all accounts recruits like Miles, but you gotta produce (NC's or at least BCS bowls) or bring something exciting and/or different to the table…
not knocking Miles and his recruiting classes, but you can see other teams amassing talent while we are missing some big fish… the fact that this is happening in S. LA now might not be panic time, but it's time to put an end to the shite for sure...

I think there are some solid recruiters at LSU, and the ones named above have done well.
As the old saying goes, you can't get them all, but it was terribly disappointing what happened on Thursday.
However, I do think what happened in northern LA should convince Les that Stud has to go--can't afford to go into next season with inept recruiters there.

Frank Iheanacho (6-7, 210) of Westside High in Houston committed to Texas A&M during the Army All-American Bowl on Saturday. But immediately after the announcement, I received a call from a close source who said Iheanacho's pledge is nowhere close to a done deal for the Aggies. In fact, had the Tigers had a little more time, Iheanacho would've declared for LSU on Saturday.
Look for Iheanacho's decommitment down the road, with a nod to LSU highly likely. The announcement he made Saturday was to appease the U.S. Army All-American Bowl folks and honor his word that he would declare during the game. His mind is far from made up, sources said. LSU is fully aware of the situation and won't stop recruiting Iheanacho.

What kind of speed does Melvin Holland have? Dude looks fast as hell and huge. Nice film.

Damn, very underwhelming offer list, but he looks like a solid player. I'll take (maybe he'll take a grey shirt?)

I have a question...So it's OK to talk about racial issues on this site now...since when is this kocher?
Or is only that certain minority groups can breech this subject...are there no taboos anymore...all this talk of only black coaches can recruit certain athletes...what's the deal?

But everytime I hear something about black coaches being able to recruit better I think of Lester Croom. The Moo St people assumed the same also. But, it is still MS and Lester was anything but a "inner city" black person. He's more redneck than me. So it's a sucky comparison to a Sumlin (history, performance, and "relatability" wise... all 3).

You obviously don't get the point...people see only what they want to see...certain groups can discriminate against other groups, but not vice versa...double standard...politically correct tyranny...there is not now or ever has been equally free speech on this site...I understand perfectly well why, but that doesn't mean I will ever like it or respect the folks that impose it...like Eric Holder once said,"It's get even time!" And this attitude will be the downfall of the entire system...just my little rant for the day...when you wrongly and capriciously entitle
people rights that they neither deserve or have earned, you truly make them slaves in very insidious ways that not even they understand until it's too late...and the clock is ticking...I say this knowing that maybe one or two here will comprehend any of it...lol

That's not for here. See... you can post all that you want. No one stopped you just now. But what you want is affirmation that your point(s) are right.
Frankly, it doesn't matter to me if you're right or not. The mere fact that you can't just voice your opinion and move on tells me all I need to know. That makes you more of an activist than a Joe with an opinion.
