We will never know but based on what CJJ is doing, I am sure we would have had a great shot at landing Gathers...way better chance than with TJ

I can't believe some of you people (who are pumped about the recruiting class) wont give Alleva the least bit credit for the hire. Pathetic.
Dude made a very good hire that 75% of the fan base was against. He's already proved them wrong imo, even without coaching a game yet. No other coach in america would have pulled in a top 5 recruiting class this fast to come to LSU. Nobody.
