I really hope we pick this guy up. He is the kinda guy a coach can take advantage of. in a good way. maybe not as much talent as Maclin, but what he lacks in ability he makes up in desire. got love a guy who will do what hes asked full speed all the time

i had to backspace that part out and fill it in with somethin else. i didnt want some one a few post down to put that little black kid on yellin thats racist. Bates does have a high motor.

Don't forget the ever popular compare him to another good white player who's played there in the past or in the nfl. Unfortunately all i can come up with on defense is Craig stelz for LSU or jack hunt in the last 20 years

LOL, yeah, Kyle Williams was only probably the best player on LSU's defense his last two years on campus. 
I know it's tongue-in-cheek, but the white hating on this board is pretty dumb at times. There are plenty of good white players in the NFL as well.
