At least we have some attrition for next year. I don't think many people were high on him on here anyway...other than Bates coming on here and threatening to kick some arse himself.
I know personally I didn't think he'd see more than ST play for LSU.

His going to ULL has no bearing on our roster anyway.He's not on scholarship so we are still looking to get rid of some scholarships.I actually like Bates as a player but if he wants to go somewhere else then i say good luck.He's the type of guy(i could name others but won't because I don't like to bash our players while they are still here)that LSU needs to stop taking unless they're the best remaining option.We can get better guys than him that will actually compete for time and make the team better.There are probably 8-10 guys on the team that fit this criteria.We need to be a little more selective on the guys we take esp. early because we have a good staff that closes very well.This years recruiting so far is the way we should go.Take only no brainer types until at least November.We could get these guys then,no need to take them early.

He'd be on ship next year if he came here...which means we'd need even more attrition or give up a ship for next year. Quite frankly...I'd rather see him go and open up a extra slot for this amazing incoming class.

He was told/asked to be a hold over for next year. In other words, we had better recruits to offer so usl-laffy laff on johnston street across from Taco Bell is getting our leftovers!!
