So Momma won't reschedule a routine church function to accompany her boy on the most important trip of his life to date? Sounds like Momma has her piorities right where they should be, in Louisiana!!!!

Church functions pop up all the time. They're not planned way in advance as much as some think.

Hootie also tweeted something about Loving his Mom no matter how much they argue, because she always has his back. Lots of reading into that one...

Since we are all speculating

The consensus seems to be that Hootie wants to go to bama but MAYBE mom does not like the idea.

Overall Not good. So he would rather ride the bench at bama then step on the field and play at LSU. Something smells.

Almost all these kids that are highly rated believe without a doubt they will be playing early no matter what school they go to. I don't think Bama having better safeties would scare Hootie off. He thinks he can compete with anyone they have for playing time and he may be right.

Everything out of Bama smells fishy. It's been reported various places about the CROB handlers making Hootie their top priority.

It would be a death blow to Miles to lose Hootie to Bama.

Charlie Hannagrif and Mike Detillier both think he's bama bound.

Okay maybe not death blow. But considering we lost landon collins, CROB, and Hootie, doesn't bode well. But there are a lot of things LSU cannot control and thats Bama handlers.

I think loss of a single recruit being a "death blow" is hyperbole. I certainly hope Hootie chooses LSU but to think the success of the team depends on an individual player is simply not realistic. LSU will finish strong and have a highly rated class - beyond that, all depends on how those players develop, improve and execute. Of all the remaining unbeaten teams, how many starters did LSU offer & lose out on? The short answer is "not many" and the truth is, most of the highest regarded players on those teams were never even on the radar screen. We, as fans, get way to caught up in the players we are most familiar with.

For those that frequent the 247 site, Kipp Adams predicted Hootie to Bama, all predictions are trending that way.

When I don't like the way these predictions start trending, I remind myself of the last 72 hours of Craig Victor's recruitment...
