I know it's been said before but if Quille just setup an announcement to reaffirm his commitment to AU, it would make no sense. However, it would speak volumes about his character and ego if he were to pick AU. Has he ever even visited LSU? Is an OV setup?

Shea Dixon ?@Sheadixon 2m For me, the Hootie Jones recruitment has been the toughest to read in this 2014 class. This announcement will be interesting.

It's a closer race than LSU fans really think it is and none of you know about it. Better feel uneasy about that one.

Don't tell me malachi really loved being sabans longest visit too?!

Prom definitely isn't pumping these up. He wants to make sure Gunner stays atop the LSURb longest thread list

Look back at 2010, I'm pretty sure Cam attempted only about 10 passes against LSU because they ran for over 400 yards. That's what they want to do. I mean unless they just happen to land some beastly pocket passer who doesn't run well, but I doubt he recruits that kind of player anyway.

AU still needed at TD to beat us in 2010 despite the 400 yd performance. I have to wonder if this somehow work against them in the recruiting trail down the road. Kids these days want to go to the NFL, and I have a hard time completely trusting that his offensive scheme would translate to sending kids to the NFL, especially at the QB position unless they're transcendent players.

No, I know that and I'm not arguing that. I just have the impression that that game had more weight in his decision making than you make it to be.

I could be way off track on this. And also, don't get me wrong, I'd love for him to commit to LSU

The man just loves kids. All he cares about is the well being of players. Every recruit that visits, he makes it a priority to spend 1 second more with than the last.

meh, they are running so much because they need help at WR in the worst way and it is much easier to implement quickly. Teams are gonna figure out how to shut down that run game and Malzahn is gonna get a QB who can sling it as well as run.

They run so much because that's what the offense is, a run early and often attack. They don't throw it a lot because a. they don't need to and b. Marshall isn't a great passer (he got better as the year went on, but he's still a much better runner) Basically their offense is a creative version of the triple-option. As long as they've got decent RBs and a QB who can read and run, it's going to be very tough to shut it down because defenses won't see something like that on a week to week basis.

At the end of the day, it's likely that a WR won't put up great numbers at LSU or Auburn due to their offensive philosophies of "run first". However, we've seen LSU look to throw more this year than they have in the past. Hopefully the coaching staff (i.e. Les Miles) has enough confidence to let Jennings put the ball in the air next year.
