Does Terrace not belong in that group?

Not in my opinion. The five I listed are, and soon will be , among the best WRs in the history of the NFL. Guys like Terrace, Chark, Gage, etc are very good receivers, but they are not in that elite class.

Les Miles wanted Chase as a CB and he was committed to Kansas for a minute.

I think Les gets too much shite for this. Maybe Jamaal Adams or Patrick Peterson would have been dominant WRs. I’m glad Chase ended up at LSU as a WR, but wanting that HS kid as a DB wasn’t nuts. And had it played out Les might have backed off in order to land him. Who knows?

You are right, of course, that they must “trust the evaluations”. But we, as fans, can’t tell whether our signing of a three star, while our rival signs a five star, is due to the evaluations showing the three star is better, or because we lost the recruiting battle. THAT’s the importance of the rankings; they are just a strong hint to us fans of how things are going.

I feel like you cherry picked all of that. He’s had a number of receivers go to the NFL.

No shite I cherry picked. I’m highlighting the best talent he’s been able to recruit while at ND and now at LSU.

Yes and while people can and will point to the competition level now much higher for Brian Kelly in the SEC, I don’t believe that it is so much so that it will make much difference in his wins vs loses.

I think the talent level increase at LSU will help him much more than the competition level will affect him as a coach. It’s not like Notre Dame played no body and when they did he beat them most times and when he didn’t, he made it a game.

No you didn’t. You picked the highest rated recruits, not his best players. This thread is intentionally misleading in order to fit a certain narrative. He had plenty of good receivers at Notre Dame.

You’re very stupid.

The narrative is that Kelly came to LSU to recruit a higher caliber athlete, particularly at the skill positions. What I posted is that after 8 months at LSU, he’s already surpassed the highest rated WR he ever recruited at ND.

It’s not about development or coaching, it’s strictly about recruiting rankings. Not a thing is misleading. But then again, you’re stupid so maybe it does mislead you.
