That Porter guy is a hell of a recruiter. Hope UT's next coach retains him (and that may not be too far in the future).

Nooooo sir.... Porter was recruiter of the year not once but rice here at lsu. Brought in some hellfire classes. But he was offered an hc job from position coach here. Huge pay raise. Once he was key go at Memphis I think he was trying to get back here to Texas or closer. I am surprised sumlin didn't go get him.
While I think he is an outstanding recruiter. I think frank is better. Our staff is light years better than theirs. Porter is a strength for brown though

Any updates? Really hoping he just went to austin for the free trip and is still 100% lsu.

Its all good, sources confirmed hes still all lsu and ut staff feels doubtful about flipping him per 247 this morning

The most accurate and consistent content for lsu is on 247 with S&S. they dont ever jump the gun and cross check sources prior to reporting. they said this am all is good and Lsu will hold on to FH.
