I guess we will find out this year? Nobody can really say one way or the other right now.

Why dont you go and bitch at all the other SEC teams that can't seem to stay on the same field with Bama.....LSU has beat em more than anyone the past 10 years

What's the record over the last 5 meetings? That is the tell tale.

If Landon Collins was as good as his ranking was and as good as people on this board make him out to be, he would have passed Vinny Sunseri now.

They're listed as -or- on the depth chart.

Same can be said for Corey Thompson and Ronald Martin.

Where's the gap in talent?

Prom, come on man, this argument is totally irrational because it disregards comparative depth. Collins could still be a better player than Thompson and Martin even if he plays less because Bama could have greater depth at his position. You can't draw any conclusions from where the two stand on their respective depth charts. What we do know for certain is that Collins was rated by every service well above Thompson and LSU's own staff preferred Collins to Thompson.

(Just to further buttress my point, the fact that some one star is currently the starter at Tulane at position X doesn't mean that he is better than LSU's second or third string at that same position.)

What? Vinny Sunseri is hardly a world beater.

I understand that. But I'm just standing by my argument about how they turn out once they get on campus. I think it's silly to have a complete meltdown over kids when they haven't even stepped on the field.

RIGHT NOW, basing what we've seen out of the two, there's nothing that tells me that Collins is far and above better than Thompson right now.

Saban is a psyops master. Brilliant move designed to induce fear and panic in the enemy.

I agree. I tend to not dog recruits but Collins was supposed to be a contributor in year 1 and a starter after that. Many claimed he would have a PP7 type impact, and not just posters here or for Bama. If he doesn't have a really big year you have to start asking if he was overrated.

I get what he was saying about depth, but as much as he was propped up and annoitted one of the top recruits ever, I don't see why or how he couldn't have jumped Sunseri.

I do know there were many of times I read BAMA fans bitching about Sunseri a few times last year. During the recruitment, there were MANY people saying that Collins would just step in and contribute as a starter immediately.

The point is there is a trend of top recruits "and all the recruits that were listed were top recruits at that time"

A trend. 1 over 3 years is a straight line on a graph. That's not a "trend."

Wow you are really that stupid. So recruits listed in the top 125 recruits in the nation are not top recruits? Yeah maybe on Mars!!! 10 recruits in the top 125 over the past 5 years is not a flat line. Damn I sure would like to compete against you in your business. Trying to debate an issue with you is like talking with that kid that goes "I know you are but what am I." All you can do is laugh and walk away because you know that the subject matter is too far above anything you can comprehend.
